I'm doing my bit for women's liberation by purchasing my wife a vibe for her birthday yesterday. She's gonna love it I reckon :D

A good article Corneus.

I recall reading an article, a few years ago, about the origins of the external 'vibrator'.

It told of Woman who were experiencing menopause, being declared 'insane' (for lack of knowledge of this phenomena) and locked up in 'Mad-Houses', also referred to as 'Lunatic Asylums'.... these poor Women were totally misunderstood, and without hormonal treatment being available would be virtually 'climbing up the wall' within their 'cells'!

A doctor discovered that if they were given an orgasm then they would quieten down for a few days.

So succesful was this methodology that it became widely practiced in Mental Asylums across the Western World... and was applied as a 'medication' on a daily basis.

The 'downside' was that carers were experiencing repetative strain injury from digitally stimulating female clitoris... all day long.

Herald the electric vibrator... which relieved the staff from using their fingers... and proved to be a 'God-send'.

Modern medicine of course now treats menopause with HRT and Menopausal Women are no longer declared 'insane' but instead are simply treated with HRT.

Seems this wonder drug (HRT) has deprived what modern man would call a 'plumb' job !

Yes, women would go to their doctor to be cured of "female hysteria". The "female semen" was thought to poison the blood, causing all of the symptoms we now know are hormone related.

So women would be off to the doctors every so often for treatment! However, the doctors were the ones that pushed for vibrators to be used as they found their hands were getting to sore from the constant digital stimulation required.

I think the first vibrator was a wind up model back around the 1700 mark. During the late 1800's there was a steam powered vibrator. The steam engine to power it was in an adjacent room. Then around 1900 a battery version was invented. Now, we even have electrical re-chargeable ones. Can't wait to see what sorts they have in a few more years....hehe

Over the years my wife and I have been to many sex exhibitions and events and we have purchased many dildos, vidrators and strap ons, aswell as other sex furniture and bondage equipment, The best thing I ever bought was 2 Hitachi magic wands with different dildo attachments. I can tie her up and work her ass with one and her clit with the other untill she cums so much that after 30/40 minutes she begs me to stop. So get a magic wand, plug it in to the mains and blow your womans mind. Roll a condom over one and go deep and you will never use anything else. You can purchase online for around $35usd, I bought mine through the sex and submission website at Kink.com - Our Sites , as I was member. go on, buy one.
