The Golden Screw Part 1, 2, 3 and 4

BEFORE I START THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE ON MY LIST THAT HAVE HARD ME TELL THIS ONE LIVE. PLEASE DON;T RUIN IT FOR ANYONE ELSE. I HAVE SPENT YEARS RETELLING THIS AND MAKING IT BETTER. BY THE WAY THIS IS NOT MY STORY, I HEARD THIS WHEN I WAS 12. BUT ALL THE DETAILS ARE REINVENTED BY ME.

There was once a loving couple. Their names are Jonathon and Martha. Their life together is blessed with the company of each other. They enjoyed a fruitful life, yet lived humbly as money and wealth was not their priority. But every story has a challenge, otherwise it would not make it to the lips of a teller and thus the ears of an audience.

Unfortunately the single setback for them to create a fullness to their fulfillment was that they were unable to conceive a child. They tried and tried for 7 years. In that 7 years, many doctors, specialists, spiritual mediums, herbalists, etc was visited. Much money was spent on these visits. All these specialists meant well but provided no results. Meditation, diets, exercise, wierd ass sexual positions were all keenly experimented with, and yet, nothing.

Depression and heart ache became the staple emotion for this lonely couple. Giving up became a sincere alternative as they had very little money left for more consultations and scams.

One day a mysterious letter written on a big dried leaf arrived in their mail.

We left it last time where Jonathon and Martha were about to give up on living their dream of becoming parents after of trying everything including the most unusual and outrageous gimics and being scammed out of all the money they have. Then one day they received a mysterious letter in the mail….

This letter was like nothing they had ever seen. The envelope was made of a large dry leaf neatly folded into the shape of an envelope and sealed together with what resembled honey. Their names and address was written in an oxidized purple juice of some sort and hard to read. The return address was brief and only said `Satori Temple, Tibet’. Jonathon and Marth a looked at each other and an expression that had no label as they were mixed with most human emotions that are based on excitement, hope, and suspicion. They opened the envelope and carefully pulled out another delicate and intact piece of leaf. On it was some fuzzy writing written in the same purple juice.
It read:
I AM HUMBLE SERVANT OF THE UNIVERSE THAT RESIDES IN SATORI TEMPLE. MY WORLD HAS BEEN GOOD TO ME SINCE MY DESCENT INTO HUMAN FORM. AN AMBITION OF MINE HAS ALWAYS BEEN TO HELP A PERSON OR FAMILY THROUGH AN OVERWHELMING CHALLENGE. I HAVE CHOSEN YOU. HOWEVER I AM NOT ONE THAT IMPOSES ANYTHING I HAVE TO OFFER ONTO ONES UNWILLING. LET ME KNOW BY MORNING WHAT YOUR WILL IS. THE WAY TO SHOW ME IS TO SIMPLY KNOW THE ANSWER IN YOUR HEART AND I WILL KNOW. A SIMPLE YES OR NO WILL DO.

And that’s all it said. Jonathon and Martha did not know what to think of this. None of it made sense according to what they knew. Normal human thoughts and suspicions saturated their minds. However the higher part of themselves felt the genuine and loving energy that came from this letter. Before their night long discussion they both already knew that the answer in their hearts was a solid yes. They had nothing to lose, and a little baby to gain.

At dawn Jonathon and Martha still had not slept a wink. Their thoughts were focused on only one thing. In middle part of morning the mail man arrived and was just putting a weird envelope made of a big leaf into the letter when Jonathon’s hand intercepted and took the letter. He Keenly opened it and took out the inner leaf and sat down with Martha at the table.

Last time the story was left where Jonathan and Martha received a second mysterious letter that is supposed to solve their infertility problems. Lets carry on……

And it read.

FOR 100 DAYS YOU MUST NOT EAT ANYTHING OTHER THAN ORGANICALLY GROWN CARROTS. AND YOU MUST NOT DRINK ANYTHING OTHER THAN RAIN WATER. CLEANSE YOU BODIES YOU WILL.

DURING THESE 100 DAYS, YOU MUST BE SITTING OUTSIDE IN THE LOTUS POSITION AT THE MOMENT OF NOON. NOT BEFORE OR AFTER, BUT AT THE TINY MOMENT WHERE THE SUN PASSES THE HIGHEST POINT IN THE HEAVENS. RECEIVE THE BENEVOLENT ENERGY FROM THE HEAVENS YOU WILL.

And that is all it said with no further explanation. Jonathon and Martha is understandably shocked. Their suspicions are aroused along with many other emotions of human weakness. After much time was spent playing out various scenarios in their heads, and asking many versions of why not they came to a conclusion. They have nothing to lose. The carrots and water is annoying, but they decided that it is worth it. It is worth it if it meant that they can hold a little baby in the arms. With the other exercise this meant that these 100 days would reduce their income since they both had to be there at noon each day. No work or half days are now a must. This is the challenge since they were already in debt for all the baby making scams that they welcomed into their lives previously. But as you know, nothing was going to stop this couple.
So each day they ate organic carrots, and drank rain water, and nothing else. Each day they religiously caught the moment of noon by sitting in the lotus position 10 minutes before noon until 10 minutes after noon. This was to make sure that they are there for the tiny and irreplaceable moment of when the sun is in the highest point.
As the days went by, many emotions of doubt, hope, fear, etc was played out by Jonathon and Martha. You can hardly blame them. This was a weird ass thing that they were doing by the standards of the world we live in. As the 99th day roled by, Jonathon and Martha felt and thought quite differently. It was like a lot of the burdens they carried from all parts life was let go of. Doing such an activity on such a humble diet released them from the grip of their ego. They did not realize that their absolute obsession with child birth was let go off. There was now no focus on their infertility, and ALL focus on the outcome they wanted.

On the dusk of day 100 Jonathon was sitting quietly on his own enjoying the silence when he was torn out of his serenity by a loud and high pitched scream. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HA HA HA from Martha came from the bathroom. Jonathon burst into the bathroom to see what happened. There he saw Martha in the corner of the bathroom on her knees weeping ceaselessly. ``WHAT WHAT WHAT?” shouted Jonathon.

So far, Jonothan and Martha received some out of this world instructions from a mysterious person in Tibet that was written on a leaf. Out of desperation to fulfill the dream of having a child they faithfully followed the instructions. And here is what happened….

On the dusk of day 100 Jonathon was sitting quietly on his own enjoying the silence when he was torn out of his serenity by a loud and high pitched scream. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH HA HA HA from Martha came from the bathroom. Jonathon burst into the bathroom to see what happened. There he saw Martha in the corner of the bathroom on her knees weeping ceaselessly. ``WHAT WHAT WHAT?” shouted Jonathon. ``ITS POSITIVE ITS POSITIVE ITS POSITIVE’’. Martha shouted back. ``What’s positive, you scared the crap out of me’’ said Jonothan. Martha took a deep breath to calm herself down as she raised the pee stick from the pregnancy test and said, ``We are going to have a baby’’. They both froze as their eyes welled with tears before a roof lifting scream of joy came from Jonothan and they embraced.

In the coming few days confirmations with doctors were made, and a shift in focus and mentality dramatically took place with this couple. They no longer slow cooked themselves in thoughts of doubt and suffering which resulted in more suffering. The energy from their thoughts and actions now are only nurturing and encouraging parenthood to happen. This makes sense as every great teacher who walked the said in one way or another. ``What you focus on is drawn to you’’.
In the following nine months and 12 days, everyday was joyful anticipation awaiting the arrival of their baby. Martha and Jonothan was careful with everything, and every measure of care was taken to ensure the health and happiness of the mother and child.
On the day of the birth, the doctor was happy to announce that they had a beautiful baby boy. When Martha held him for the first time, no word could describe the love and gratitude on her face. This was the same for Jonothan who sat next to her as he met his son for the first time. There was one thing however that they could not explain. When the umbilical cord was cut, they baby had a shiny screw like object that was polished like gold in the place where the belly button is suppose to be.
