I'm just wondering whether anyone has ever woken up after work, or going to the gym or doing something labour intensive, and woken up so stiff they can barely move with sore muscles and nausea?

I know why I have...that bloody workout has got me 2 days later as I knew it would. I was so stiff I had to spent 10 minutes under the hot water in the shower, so I could move enough to be able to get dressed and go get a massage...I feel better now, thank you Linya Massage Victoria Park! But I'm wondering whether other people suffer the same? Obviously I'm not talking chronic pain from injuries, just using muscles that haven't been overtaxed in a while ;) And especially the nausea...is that common?

Very common, babe, I am talking about sore muscles. Not sure about the nausea......certainly not 2 days after but sometimes after my run especially when I am pushing myself too far.
Good thing to do when are you sore..........light work out ;)

Sorry to hear that you're feeling unwell. :(
In most cases I think post-workout soreness is an indication that your body's growing stronger, so it's all up hill from here. :) Yippee. x

Nausea doesnt sound right but the soreness is just DOMS. Plenty of bro-science out there on how to prevent it but the reality is that it'll go away naturally and next time you work that miscle group it wont be so bad.

Did you stretch before and after? Its worth spending 15min stretching after a workout? That can really help.
