Staying Present

Presence:

I have spent nearly 200 days being in a good state while locking away all of the negative emotions. It has been a great period for aligning away from the past that was way too much........However, no emotion can be escaped from. And a lot of negative emotions can pile up and stay there creating negative manifestations until they are each dealt with.

Now I must reanimate what was taught to me by one of the greatest masters that I have had the privilege of being taught by in person.

I must acknowledge my feelings of Glad, Sad, Mad, or Scared. And stay present to these feelings without avoiding them in any way.

Staying present to them and letting them pass over will put me in a position of awareness.

Awareness of what I am feeling and where it will lead me will put me in a place of choice.

Then I may choose if this emotion/state is empowering me or disempowering me.

From there I can choose to stay with that state if it is empowering me to create more empowerment in my reality. Or shift my state if I realise it will manifest a reality that I do not want.

Anything is possible from anyone else's perception I suppose.

I was thinking out loud and ok with what I said. And writing down a single thought rolling around in my head. One thing for sure is that I wish not to be one that takes years to recover from something or drag out the effects of a bad experience over a few decades. I like to eliminate problems and all repercussions in the shortest due time.

Good point though....

In this present moment I feel Glad, a little sad, no fear, no anger.

Good day today 2 long phone calls from 2 friends void of contact for some time. Ate a cooked lunch from another friend. Went shopping, watched GRAVITY. Doing a good deed right now. Then dinner with a buddy.

Even walked through a toy shop to feel good playing with toys I like :)

Yes it was very good. I will write a review from my perspective when I get some chair time.

Hi Yoda.......reading your posts over the last days I was just wondering what is the motivation of the self analysis?........and I don't mean it in a sarcastic way........usually people have to come to a point motivated by an experience/ moment of enlightening to start questioning themselves. What is yours?

Less D&M stuff and more squatting.

Not even taking the piss. Seriously, jump in a squat rack and all your worries will work themselves out.

If I was to answer that as directly and honestly as possible....it's the decisions I have made based on ego that have landed me in certain consequences. And that is nobodies fault but my own as I am a big believer that we all create the whole of our own realities. Even the parts that hurt us. And I am grateful for the insights that these offer.

Yoda needs some BDSM to cure that CSA blues.

LOL...CSA can't really cause the blues..... They are about as bad ass as an itch on an ass. It's annoying till its scratched. Then noone thinks about them anymore until they reappear in another moist patch at inappropriate times.

RIght now I feel glad, a little mad, and a little scared.

Glad = Everything is just fine right at this moment. I have time and space to be creative.

Mad = A particular person I love to death keep calling on me to provide energy and wisdom, yet does not listen to a scrap of it. Yet I remain patient. And be there.

Scared = Procrastination on a few things makes me uneasy at times when they cross my thoughts.

At the moment I'm content... And whilst contemplating I've realised my navel is quite cute

Regardless of how I feel, I usually end up in my cellar trying to pick a bottle that complement my mood of the moment...hard work.

Interesting train of thought Yoda, I can definitely relate.

My biggest flaw is tunnel vision, not being present but focusing on the future. It's always a nicer placer than the here and now. It's a addictive drug, using your imagination to dismiss the problems of today.

One thing I value is how healing and revitalising going away on holiday can be. In my younger days when I was even more tunnel visioned than now I vividly recall leaving the big smoke and the exquisite feeling of grass beneath my feet, feeling every blade as if it were a new sensation never before experienced. Never mind that I'd walked bare feet in my own backyard 24 hours prior, that was a numb feeling, I wasn't present in any way other than physical.

That was a huge moment of realisation for me, and it's hard to express how such a simple sensation can have such a profound effect. It was time to slow down and smell the roses :)

Yeah.....reconnecting with the Earth with actual earth beneath your feet and breathe full lungs of clean air. Then getting away from chlorinated water, floride tooth paste, and processed food is a wonder.

I feel you are already way ahead of the pack bro. Living in future is not ideal it is so much better than dwelling in the past like most do.

Then there's that place most of us struggle to fine tune which is being in the present.

But I totally acknowledge what ur saying man. Slowing down and just chilling is profound......most don't really know how to do that and can only distract themselves with entertainment at best....

I know I have a lot to learn...

I'm a distraction hunter by nature, though I don't understand why because I believe I could learn how to be far more content, peaceful and enjoy this precious life if I practiced 'living in the present' .. noticing the potential power in the abundance of everyday simpleness (or miracles depending on how I choose to see them) .. Lol like sleep - awesome thing, if I was awake I'd be able to experience the simple beauty in being asleep :/

Not an easy task, Yoda. But good on you to approach it and to let us be part of your journey.
