Perth man to face court for burning kids
A 43-year-old man will face court after allegedly setting three children on fire at a home in Perth. The man is believed to be the children's father, according to ABC, and allegedly first doused the children in lighter fluid at the home in Doubleview. Two girls, aged three and seven, and a six-year-old boy have since been taken to Princess Margaret Hospital For Children, police say. They were first alerted to the incident when a call came through at 12.05am on Saturday about a disturbance.
Soon after, they heard a liquid had been poured inside the home and three children had been set on fire. An off-duty female officer, who ABC says lives in the same street, went into the home and took the children to a nearby residence to provide emergency first aid. The man was taken into custody at the scene and later charged with aggravated and attempted grievous bodily harm.
