So, what do we really think about these bloody tree hugging Climate Alarmists?

It is a fair question and one that in recent weeks has been much on my mind. It is my considered opinion that they are nutters. (thank you MPFC)
So, I ask you to be honest. We are all Keyboard Warriors here. Anonymous bloggers who can forget political correctness and say what the hell we really think.

Personally, I am convinced that the climate is changing; but I am equally convinced that it is not Anthropogenic Climate Change.
Yes, we are polluting the planet and we should be ashamed of the degree of pollution, but we are not responsible for the current climate changes. These climate changes are cyclic and have been happening since the creation of the world. It is bullshit to think otherwise and no amount of our hard earned dollars will stop the sun.

What really pisses me off is the way these junkies abuse children and frighten the shit out of them. Telling them that the Earth has only another 12 years, unless rich people give away all of their wealth. It's pathetic and very sad. Just look at that poor Greta Thunburg. She is a very sick and disturbed child. Her medical history shows that she suffers acute anxiety, depression and is much of the time unable to function; not eating or speaking for long periods. This was all well before the alarmists picked her to be a martyr. ("How dare you destroy my dreams". So sad).

Now, consider. A recent demonstration, which blocked a major freeway had hundreds of motorists sitting in their cars spewing the very carbon that they were demonstrating about. On another occasion, a demonstration area was left littered with rubbish and plastic bottles (that take about 250,000 years to decompose) on the ground. They are a bunch of hypocrites. Ill informed and razzed up by a few would be climate heroes with personal axes to grind.

The science is not in. The prosecution has presented their case and now it is time for the defense, but No; we are not allowed to consider the alternative. We who like to consider both sides of an argument so that we can make an informed decision are just evil world destroyers.

What a bunch of crap.

Cutting through all the jokes as I am a little busy.

The important part is that world climate fluctuations are cyclical, human pollution have made little difference, humans may wipe themselves out and the Earth will just carry on.

Using that poor girl who is scared shitless to generate carbon tax is so not cool.

PROOF !!!! AT LAST !!!!!

The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from US Consulate at Bergen Norway.

Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard-of temperatures in the Arctic zone.

Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes.

Soundings to a depth of 3,100 meters showed the gulf stream still very warm.

Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.

Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds.

Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coast cities uninhabitable.

* * ** * * * * OH
I must apologize. I neglected to mention.

This report was from November 2, 1922, as reported and published in The Washington Post 96 years ago.

This must have been caused by the Model T Ford's emissions or possibly from horse and cattle flatulence.

Let's be fair here, as time went by man developed things like power plants, cars etc because they made life better...not for some self-destruction policy. OK so now we know what we didn't then and whoops, maybe it would have been better if we hadn't, but if that time ran again, I bet exactly the same would happen.

Man's ability to be ingenious will carry on, Spikey still won't be happy about the odd activist, and Mary-Anne will keep smiling down on us.

The worst way to get your message across is to inconvenience those just going about their legitimate business.
A lot of these people are just rent-a-rabble/hippy. Some wouldn't even know what they are protesting about. The organisers just tell them where and when to be and how to behave.

The fact that they're doing this in the middle of the working day means most don't have a job and are busy wasting our tax dollars.

Not listening

So I have different options on this than most posters here. My views are based on being directly involved in the scientific research from the late 1990s for about 15 years. Rather than have a rant I’ll just place a link to a comedian’s clip on the extinction rebellion - clearly I am a hypocrite, what are you?

I plant trees never hugged one yet, all tho to be honest have also cut trees down with chainsaw's and knocked them down with Loaders and Dozers.

In my experience modern humans very rarely look at the larger picture.

Present to me all data for weather and temperature fluctations (including the sun) for the last 100 million years and then we can use logic and reason to see what this informs us of.

Burning forests wont help
There's a strategical burning that's been practiced by the original owner of the land down here in AUSTRALIA for hundred of years. When its done correctly its balance the land, help the trees, done in a way that doesn't harm wild life.
These is done in the wright way with careful consideration of season, wind direction etc..
So burning forest/bush isn't necessarily bad. Whats bad is WILD FIRE

IF we are going to debate the issue, let's do it with intellectual integrity.
THERE IS NO CLIMATE EMERGENCY !!
Link is broken,so has been taken down

10 simple points of dealing with climate change
1. Climate is changing and always has - we need to adapt as we always have
2. Man contributes *something* to the change process - how much is not known because the models don’t match observations
3. Trying to stop it is too expensive, we should work on adaptation as we have since all of history
4. There is a political agenda to control people by controlling the air and water via money - the whole issue has been hijacked
5. Higher CO2 is likely to increase food production - PC incorrect to say this; also water vapour (eg. cloud) is the biggest influencer of climate (warmer = evaporation = clouds = reflection of heat -- thus self regulating)
6. Warmer has been better for humanity historically
7. Minimising pollution and wasteful consumption is a good thing, but not to the point of sending is back to caves. Yes we should plant more trees, reduce our impact, invest in genuinely useful technology that reduces pollution, but stmopping plastic straws when China, India, the continent of Africa account for around 90% of the waste in the seas is pointless virtue signalling.
8. The hypocritical hyperbole of the screaming left is not helpful, Using 16 year-old children to emotionally blackmail lies is beyond comprehensible
9. Nuclear needs to be brought online as base load electricity
10. Renewable are too expensive and represent a false economy (e.g. cost of a wind turbine vs its generated power, also the pollution cost in building a turbine [steel and other components]) - ditto electric cars; their total impact pollution is too great
Our best strategy is adaptation (like always) with reasonable mitigation of pollution in general.

I've never 100% gone for the hypothesis that the indigenous peoples system was right
Start with the mega fauna all wiped out before colonisation
As for burning it too would have changed both the flora and the fauna of the region Turning dense forest to more open forest grasslands Not what nature intended but was good for their hunting food gathering

But if it's done traditional peopled it eco friendly If done by someone else its terra forming or some such

Leave it to mother earth.
It has always been like that.
Species came and went, and humans are no different.
We will most likely wipe ourselves out before the climate does.

Apparently 60 million years ago earth got hit by a asteroid and life finished everything died. Eventually the same will occur.

I dont think so. Climate change is rapid its destroying lives.

I think the planet wont be much fun in 30000 years, even a thousand will be trouble 3050. Huge chsnges are needed now and ignored. Our generation will have lived at a better time of less heat, cancer skin.

Gotta agree with you on that. If humans last 30000 years. They won’t be here :)

The internet says around 66 million years primates and humans 10 to 14 million years. These were probably not sex crazed reproduction made humans. Possibly prostitution 2500 years ago ?? changed things and Romans wanting more sex and more babies. We'll be here in 30000. Im not sure where population growth comes when food and water production increases.
