So i figured it out....it took a long while...Doh!
1. You mouse over your name on the top right hand side. Hold the mouse over your name, and a menu will drop down.
2. 3rd from the bottom right is the "Join User Groups" option.
3. If you wanna be filthy and browse Lana's filthy pile, click on it.
4. The only group being displayed atm, is
Lana's Filthy Forum
5. Click the Join request link in small print on the right hand side. A horny filthy request will be sent to miss Lana for perusal and approval.
Of course, until the IT crowd fix the glitch, you just have to log out and not log back in again to view Lana's filthy threads at the bottom of the forum list on the Home page. You can't express your likes for the blossoming bounty of beach babes, boobs and booty therein when you're not logged in but, well, let's just say every bloke is in danger of getting his hands pregnant. I can see whole tribes of tiny hands being spawned and overrunning the land... 
Well, the good news is that the sealed section is no longer visible when not logged in and I can access it when logged in. The bad news is that once inside it says 'There are no threads to display'. I hope that doesn't mean all your new filthy threads have disappeared forever, Lana.

To clarify for a certain demographic of the membership, Lana meant to say 'hover', not 'hoover'.
