I am with you svengali
i was just wondering with this new rule that the unemployed MUST take whatever job is offered to them after a certain period on benefits Would you accept the 6mnths of no payments for refusal or have a crack at a job like this?

PS what use are those helmets accept as camera mounts

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh.........no way........give me spiders, snakes and other creepy crawlies but don't give me hights. Guess my biggest achievement during the last 12 months was to do the TREE TOP walk in Walpole.........without passing out........Very very proud of myself ;)

There is no reason to fear heights and falling can be exhilarating its the quick stop after the fall that's the problem .

you will never die from a fall from heights, but you will die from the sudden stop :)

Anyone been in the cube atop the Rialto tower in Melbourne?
It sticks out from the side of the building and they can make the floor transparent at any time Even have sound effects of failing machinery going at times

A long time ago I saw an old newsreel of Native American Indians building sky scrapers in New York.

They were walking along beams 54 floors up with no safety rig, carrying heavy loads and all the while, the structure was swaying in the wind !

I had to walk away from the TV !

I sometimes wonder what it must have been like for the TV camera man ! A bit like Bear Grylls' camera man - does not get in the picture, but takes all the risks - while carrying a camera !

That is one scary photo Rochelle! Couldn't do that . I've been parachuting and still scared of heights after several jumps! Exhilarating though..........or maybe just plain mad. x

Maybe. I have climbed trees since I was very young and even used one to hide in once, very scary experience,,and definitely if there is fruit I could sit in a tree for ages eating..you might just be onto something.

Oh yes, I did the same. My granny's garden used to be a fruit paradise and my favourite tree was an old cherry tree. I used to climb up there every summer to get the biggest and sweetest cherries. Well the tree doesn't exist any more and honestly I am not sure if I still would be able to climb up there.
Sigh.........sigh.....sigh sigh sigh.........it might has to do with maturity and the lack of believe that I am bullet proof.
