Girl and guy were speeding over 100 mph on a motorcycle.
Girl: Slow down. I'm scared.
Guy: No this is fun.
Girl: No it's not. Please, it's too scary!
Guy: Then tell me you love me.
Girl: Fine, I love you. Slow down!
Guy: Now give me a BIG hug. (Girl hugs him).
Guy: Can you take my helmet off and put it on? It’s bugging me.

In the paper the next day: A motorcycle had crashed into a building because of break failure. Two people were on the motorcycle, but only one survived.
The truth was that halfway down the road, the guy realized that his breaks broke, but he didn't want to let the girl know. Instead, he had her say she loved him, felt her hug one last time, then had her wear his helmet so she would live even though it meant he would die.

Naughty Thoughts

Nice story but it's a crock of shyte. If it was true, then it must have been the guys' first time on a bike with no lessons.

If the brakes failed, all he had to do was squeeze his left hand. With the clutch disengaged, the bike would coast to a stop. Or he could have kicked down through the gears to neutral. Or he could have turned the key and shut the engine off.

Several options available other than "really romantic gesture with zero effort to slow down".

Even aim for the grassy median and lay the bike down, skidding to halt. Though this option isn't available if the idiots took off on the bike wearing shorts and tshirt instead of proper riding gear. And why the eff wasn't she wearing a helmet to start with?

I have zero sympathy for people who ride bikes without safety gear.

This is another bull story, similar to the one about the wife with cancer...or the gal stop the guy from seeing her for a week while she's dying...

Some of the story people come with.. you wonder if these people ever known true love...

"I love you. I'm going to make you love me heaps, I'm now going to die so you'll be all alone..."

True love indeed..pfft!

Wonder why people waste their time to invent stories like that. 6 people died on the road last week riding their motor bikes.......it is a serious problem.
Plus the question is......even if this situation would be accurate do you really think the guy would give away his helmet to protect his girl friend?

Nothing worse than seeing a guy full leathers and boots fancy helmet
Riding his lady around in clothes and cheap helmet.
If you can't afford to kit your lady up. Sell it and buy a car
I fully agree. As a not frequent enough Motorbike rider I hate it when I see people not wearing suitable riding gear.

If that was a total make up story that is so sad that people stoop to write those things,

but if that was true that is still so sad!

Of course its not true.
Theres many ways to stop a bike or at least throw it down to prevent a worse crash if youve got time to have a yarn to your misses then swap helmets

Heh there are suckers born every minute.. so many holes in this story. At 160kms + (100mph) there is no way they could have that conversation.

I've had the mispleasure of both brakes failing in a race car at around 135kms and my throttle cable stuck with my first GF in the car... Its amazing what happens when you turn the engine off... you might break something but the car slows down quickly.

Like Rochelle said, this is an insult to those bike riders who have been killed
