RUSH - Movie Review

C

RUSH was an enyoyable but ear shattering cinema experience.
Aussie Thor was good as the womanizing drunk James Hunt and German Daniel Bruhl was great as the very unlikeable Niki Lauda.

Take a bucket or a bag for the scenes involving Niki in hospital after his horrific crash and burn.

My Score
3 out of 5

Its pretty good hey but i'm a little biased towards these type of movies.

What's really sad that one of the "actors" who was in the movie playing another driver (his father in real life) who helped Niki out of the wreck was killed in an accident at queensland raceway a couple of weeks ago.

As a tragic coincidence Sean Edwards (the 'actor' from Rush) died just a few days after María de Villota. Maria's death being linked to a horrendous F1 testing accident in 2012.

What makes it a tragic coincidence is that both Sean's Dad and Maria's Dad were F1 drivers from the same era. And were team mates driving the same car in 1981, the Lola T610.

To have survived the most dangerous sport to see your children die from it, can't imagine the pain.

Thanks Col, was wondering if the movie is worth my time and effort. I am old enough to remember Niki Lauda's horrid crash.........
and 3 out of 5 from Col sounds like a movie I might watch.
