Too many over cautious drivers driving on the right lane and driving 10 - 20k under the speed limit. And they are pretty persistent with keeping to the same lane at all cause...lol...

Just the other day I was in the right lane. Both lanes both cars were doing 90 in a 100 zone... The guy in the right could easily move over, but no cars could overtake either of them! I ended up flipping my high beams.. after that didn't work I beeped my horn. STILL DIDN'T F*CKING MOVE! Then finally the car on the left sped up and let me move into the left and into the right... I rolled my window down yelled some very nasty words that no lady should ever speak and flipped him the bird. HE STILL DIDN'T MOVE OVER!

Aye, i feel your pain. Oh well at least you didn't have this happening to ya. I swore I could see grim reaper standing under the traffic light waiting for moi.

One fine dandee arvo, I exited the freeway onto the onramp to Karrinyup rd. The light was green as the green eggs and ham for me to take my turn right onto Karrinyup rd, it's been green for like 10-20 secs, still green eggy when I took the turn. As I approached the traffic light happily, about to turn, this dare devil with pea for brains, ran the red light, he/she was speeding off like hell was their destination. They didn't stop at all. Our vehicles were just few centimetres of getting into an inseparable relationship. I braked hard and skidded forward, I thought my soul jumped out of the car and looking back at myself in disbelief. I was stunned and that vehicle just went on and sped on. Pezzo di merda, I'd like to drag that peabrain out of the car and give em a piece of mine. Dammit!

I got followed by a guy with road rage down tonkin highway. I didnt cut him off when changing lanes as he was about 50; m behind me. instantly he got raged flashing his lights and floored it making up the 50 m waving and yelling.
I turned off onto hawtin road to get away but he followed trying to overtake me through the one lane roundabout then tried overtaking on one laned hawtin road slamming on the brakes before he hit the median strip for the lights..
I dialed 000 but they were no help but when he saw me on the phone he gave up. .....

If anyone from Perth is planning a visit to Melbourne , you may want to learn what a hook turn is , otherwise you may find yourself with a tram stuck to your rear end LOL !

I once saw a (probably) Melbournian driver try this at the corner of Wanneroo Road and Morley Drive in peak hour. Confusion and chaos would be inadequate words to describe the result.

I was told about it when I visited Melbourne and collected my hire car but was never game to try it. The insurance excess on hire cars is a killer.

Bushseeker, that happens to me a lot even in 60kmph zones, it is as if certain Perth drivers think that they own the 'WHOLE ROAD'. Am quite happy for them to do so as long as they pay all of our taxes that get spent on roads.

No point saying how bad Perth drivers are,.......................................

this guy was so loaded on drugs before 8am he didnt know which way was up or down.
hes trying to intimidate me in a corolla and im in my bushseeking 4wd with massive bars front and rear. even if id done the dumb thing and pulled up to meet him. what was his plan?
its my bush wagon its already to go with over a dozen things I use for recovery and repairs that would ruin his day instantly. ... hell id need to go no further than the shovel on the back to make him rethink his drugtaking

once you see them done they make sense.
its alot harder for west australian s because none know how to do a proper right hand turn without arrows in the first place
(hint when the light goes green you dont remain at the line)

OK, for anyone who doesn't know what a hook turn is , here goes.
They occur when there is a tram line on the road you are travelling and you HAVE to attempt one when you come to an intersection with traffic lights.
You need to be in the left hand lane, and when crossing the intersection on a green light, you pull out of the left hand lane to the left and stop on the intersection as far as you can so that another couple of cars can pull in behind you. Then, when your light turns red, you turn right with the other couple of cars behind you to follow you in turn. This allows trams to go through the green light without stopping as a car turning right at that intersection would otherwise block their path and a nasty accident could occur. I hope this clarifies what a hook turn entails and why they need to be done at certain intersections in Melbourne. x

I seriously wonder how many drivers are actually aware of the traffic rules......but in saying that I have been to several countries with obviously no road rules but one.....survival of the fittest. and funnily enough it seemed to work somehow without major disaster.........but yes I agree.....Perth drivers are shocking. Good on the Melbourne crew for the ability to merge. Somehow it is a serious challenge for Perth drivers.
happy driving........

you just lost every native west australian. .. none have the slightest clue thats the way to do any right hand turn with no arrows hook turn or no hook turn...

thats why theres the road rule its illegal to enter a blocked intersection.
if your in the intersection waiting to turn right and the lights go red its illegal for any vehicles to enter until you've completed your turn

Road rules? When it comes to driving, everyone wants to be the hero and drive like one. I mean look at Batman he is all over the road. :pigeon:
