For some people, that would be the drastic simplification. A "good girl" who cooks and cleans, stays at home to raise the kids and goes to church on Sundays to be "the wife", and a "bad girl" who is kinky, a nymphomaniac, unrestrained and willing to do anything for a "one night stand" or a "holiday romance".
That's not what I'm talking about. Given the specific question asked, what would change depending on the short term / long term relationship would be just what makes for a "perfect" status.
For example, if I was looking for someone whom I wanted a short term relationship with, then I might look for someone who liked to travel. Go on the Indian Pacific, travel abroad, see the big cities in Europe. That might be considered a "perfect" trait in someone with whom I was only anticipating a short relationship.
However, if I was looking for someone for a long term relationship, then "the travel bug" could be an undesirable trait since travel is expensive. I'd need to be on a six figure income if I was in a long term relationship with someone who wanted to spend three months every year travelling the world, and doing sea cruises in the Mediterranean every winter.
Still over-simplifying, I don't think I'd like a good girl that was always good, or a naughty girl that was always naughty.
