This is more directed to the Punters, as I'm sure most of the WL's would regularly

Sorry, made duplicate threads, as first time trying to create a forum poll lol :( Third time was the charm :)

This is something that often gets me We go to or are visited by a w/l and 90%
have absolutely no concerns about putting on a franger We have been hedumacated over our lifetimes of the perils
Yet many of us will go to a pub get smashed and "Forget" All the above As if it
will be all OK She's a nice girl it'll be allright. And it would seem there is more chance of catching a STD in the general community than from a W/L Who has all the checkups etc for her and through that our safety

Woah already 3 have chosen Never - rather not know ;D I find rather astounding, not wanting to know, as with STD's, most are very curable and if caught in early stages, don't have lasting long term health problems. It's only when left untreated you get to see your little guy get all $%%#! like the pictures you see. :tearyeyed

Not to sure why over the last year but still every six months, also my ... doctor has to make me have certain blood tests, so i always get H.I.V. and hep C thrown in as well.

It comes in handy sometimes when you got a clean bill of health in your wallet, always get the copy from my doc.

I had one early this year. Go again next week hopefully if I find time.

Only been with 2 girls so pretty sure I'm safe:notworthy

If I was more frequent with w/l then I'd go every two weeks. Yes I'm thinking of very frequently lol

One of the plus's of rounds of IVF, regular tests for any little nasties. More interesting is all the other things you find out like hormone levels. Testosterone is an interesting one, not a lot of generally accepted 'normal' levels amongst the medical profession. This means the 'healthy' range is huge. Depending on your age some doctors will suggest a booster if for example you are feeling unmotivated, depressed, trouble focusing, unexplained excess body fat, low drive, erectile dysfuction, high cholesterol, irritability and the list goes on). Oops got a bit chaty sorry, but for anyone who is or who has been down this path you'll be aware of how proactive you need to be so I always ask for all the results to be emailed to me. Well off topic now sorry again...just wanted to present another incentive to get yourself checked, as others have mentioned there are treatments readily available for many of the nasties but it's also a great opportunity to ask to be tested for a few other things at the same time. All my test results have been fine barring one - Cholestorol. At 29yrs this is not a standard test, however I asked to be tested and thank God I did - through the roof! Just a genetic thing which would have killed me in 5 years if not picked up and treated. One week later healthy as an ox, but I did have to ask....Pretty sure that's enough preachy preachy from me, ok am really going now, great thread :)

You can set up an appointment at FPWA. Ring them up first at their Northbridge office (9227 6177). I believe it's Medicare bulk billed and you don't need to pay any difference.

Outstanding thread. As you all know I am at the front desk answering phones. I am shocked everyday at the amount of requests we get for natural services and my friend that works privately tells me over half of her calls request natural services.
Where are their heads at? It is illegal for a working girl to offer natural services for a start off. Sex is our business. We have to produce medical certificates and would do so willingly for the safety of both ourselves and our clients.
We are not just talking about your common STD's there are life threatening sexual diseases. A majority of the requests come from married men so not are they only risking their own lives but also the lives of there partners and children.
This thread is definitely one to watch. God lets get the media involved, lets get explicit. Can we copy the tobacco companies and put the photographic evidence on condom packets.

We have to remind them first that this is not America. While at first it's maybe a good idea to bring back those 80's billboard "I miss my lung, bob" , it takes far more work than that because sex as a naturalist subject in itself is inherently sensitive, internal part of human recreation, where as cigarettes are the external part of human recreation.

Nobody is immune.

For those who are in tune with the news about Cameron Bay & her BF, this 21mins video shows just about every shady practices within the testing sides of the industry.

Link is broken, so taken down.

Just some quotes to take note of:

"It's hard to regulate the use of condoms in the industry."
"I get more chances of being in a car crash than to contract HIV in a set."
"...I get a choice between using a condom or not."
"...Aids is the bottom of the list. Financial management is at the top."

I'm booked in once every 3 months, although I missed the last one as I've been in involuntary celibacy for 4 months :(

Great thread.........can't believe it took me over 2 years to come across it.
Somehow it seems to be that STD checks are a female thing in the first place. I sometimes ask my clients (especially when they pester me about natural sex....usually with the comment that they are clean) when they had their last STD check. Most of them think it is not necessary as long as they have no symptoms.......sigh.....honestly.......as soon as there are different sexual partners involved please get regular checks. Even without symptoms guys can still be carriers.
So why not getting it done more often???????

I really don't know why guys don't go get checked. I have a mate who hasn't been checked that I know of at all, that's just nuts. I don't understand that. I make it a general rule to go get checked every 6 months minimum. Symptoms or no symptoms I always get checked.
