Or for that matter, whether it's made of what it says it's made of. Or if human feces have been used in the process of fertilization, and if the product has been cleaned thoroughly. One can never tell until he/she needs medical attention.

Aussie berries no problem

The Australian berry industries have reassured consumers that locally grown fruit is fine to eat.
Jonathan Eccles, executive officer, Raspberries and Blackberries Australia, told Fairfax Media he wasn’t surprised by the Hepatitis A findings within the imported frozen berries.
“I was surprised to realise that most people didn’t think frozen berries were imported,” he said.
The berry market within Australia is mostly fresh trade as growers and processors would struggle to compete against low cost foreign imports.
But Mr Eccles said Australian berries are available all year round so there was no need for consumers to buy frozen product.
He said the situation highlighted the need for improved country of origin labelling.

In an earlier life I worked in the food industry and I can tell you people don't know what they are eating. When prices are "down down" or "cheap cheap" there is a reason why they can offer items at those prices. They are using crap ingredients and/or sourcing from China and other places where they can make a margin. Unfortunately people don't want to pay for more expensive Australian products but with lower prices comes higher health risks. You pay your money and you take your choice.

Ahoy Short answer is Yes.
Hepatitis A (formerly known as infectious hepatitis) is an acute infectious disease of the liver caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV).[1] Many cases have little or no symptoms especially in the young.[2] The time between infection and symptoms, in those who develop them, is between two and six weeks.[3] When there are symptoms they typically last eight weeks and may include: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, yellow skin, fever, and abdominal pain.[2] Around 10–15% of people experience a recurrence of symptoms during the six months after the initial infection.[2] Acute liver failure may rarely occur with this being more common in the elderly.[2]

It is usually spread by eating or drinking food or water contaminated with infected feces.[2] Shellfish which have not been sufficiently cooked is a relatively common source.[4] It may also be spread through close contact with an infectious person.[2] While children often do not have symptoms when infected they are still able to infect others.[2] After a single infection a person is immune for the rest of their life.[5] Diagnosis requires blood testing as the symptoms are similar to those of a number of other diseases.[2] It is one of five known hepatitis viruses: A, B, C, D, and E.

So... In risk of making myself sound silly. Is hep A curable?

Yep. once Hep C always Hep C but if you are lucky the virus kind of is 'asleep' in your system and doesn't cause any damage. But there is no guarantee that it won't wake up at some stage hence the ongoing blood and liver testing...........

I Dont know Rochelle
You say Bugz is up for anything Maybe HE could do it ?

SHE certainly would be able to do it especially after all the frills SHE got.........
