Hi perthpaul-I spoke to a client the other day and he said it was busy but the actual place isn't very nice. He thought they would have done it up a bit. Still at least Perth is starting to get a few more places now. Use to be just The Court and Connections-so it is getting a little better in that respect

Steamworks has been around for a while. It's not 5-star but it serves its purpose. I'm happy to unwind in the steam room and then wander through the dark maze for some fun. I guess if people use the private rooms then they'd notice the lack of comfort. I prefer to play out in the open ;-)

Yes. The staff are more than happy to show you around if you want. Or you can pay your $22 and wander around on your own with or without a towel on. No one pressures you to do anything you don't want to do. And if people are having sex in the open then you're more than welcome to watch. You can even wank while you do it. No one cares.

I was asked via PM what's the go with Steamworks? Thought I'd share my routine with the crowd ...
I use the Wilson car park on Newcastle St (within walking distance but far enough away that I'm not linked to Steamworks). Walk down the lane between the Toyota dealership and enter Steamworks by walking up Forbes St, rather than coming from the William St direction which has some restaurants.
Anyway, up the stairs, wait to get buzzed in, pay the fee (about $22), get a towel and locker key, then buzzed in again to head to the lockers.
Find my locker, strip off, go for a nervous piss ;-) and head to the open showers. Most people wrap their towels around their waists. Last couple of times I've just thrown mine over my shoulder ... much more liberating (for me).
Have a soapy shower. I wish more guys would do that too! Then into the dark steam room. I find that's a good place to relax and settle the nerves. It takes a while to get used to the dark but I often hear the sound of sucking and wanking from the back corner. With the family away, I took the opportunity to drop by for nude night last night. That means if you must carry a towel it can't be wrapped around your waist.
