An illegal sign advertising XXX porn work will be removed from a busy Gold Coast road after complaints the sordid advertisement was inappropriate. The sign which called on ‘girls for XXX porn’ was ironically set up on Hooker Blvd and was smashed by an offended passer-by. The Gold Coast council received complaints the advertisement could damage the city’s image, the Gold Coast Bulletin reports. The advertisement was accompanied with a mobile number and when women dialled it they were told the ‘XXX’ work was with an online porn production company. A Bulletin reader reported the incident and told reporters it was not appropriate viewing for children, families or tourists.
Councillor Bob La Castra said he would be seeking to have the sign removed immediately.
"This is illegal advertising and we will have it removed as soon as possible," he said.
"Besides that, it is definitely not the sort of message we want on our city streets."

What I don`t understand is why those that find the sign offensive still feel that it is ok to vandalise somebody elses property.

The people who put the sign there need to pull their heads in and try and grow a brain.

Of course it is offensive and the Council is well within its rights to order its removal, particularly if it was erected without the necessary permission.

We have enough nanny-state wowser-inspired restrictions in this country already and too many God-bothering officials at all levels of Government eager to add a few more. Why give them a free kick like this?

It's actually a good advertising gimmick. After all that free publicity, he'll just do normal website ads and everyone will recognise it.

HILARIOUS!!! I'd call them up to see what it was about and whether it was for real, that's the best sign I've seen in a while.
