Close to 100 people came thru for our open day. and it was thouroghly enjoyable. We had an assortment of people from a mature sex worker, a mum and dad that had just found out their daughter was escorting in Melbourne, 2 mature lasses that were celebrating their birthdays, all had stories to tell and many are going to join in our website and join in on the blogs. The first lady that registered weas 88 years old...so we are never to old to learn.

Wow, what an awesome turnout for Langtrees open day! It’s incredible that so many different people came through, from an 88 yr old lady to a couple just discovering their daughter’s journey. Sounds like a day full of stories, laughs, and new connections! So cool that they’re joining the website and jumping into the blogs. It's proof that you are never too old to learn and grow! 💕

I personally had a great day taking small groups of people through the "ins and outs" of the business. We had lots of stories to tell and our guests were very interrested in all facets of Langtrees. Perhaps the highlight of the day was the meet and greet with Mrs Langtrees who delightd the crowd with her honesty and unique way of putting things. A fun day was had by all.
Now there was the great scone bake off between Mrs Langtrees and Kate ..... I could not decide who had the best scones jam and cream so I had to keep going back for more . Well thats my excuse. Ok Both were awesome!!

It’s a shame I missed the actual event, but earlier that morning, I was lucky enough to be there to help out and witness all the hustle and bustle of the wonderful Langtrees staff setting up. The energy was incredible—everyone moving a mile a minute, making sure everything was just right.

One of the best parts was watching Maryanne and Kate in the kitchen, working on the scones. It was a big deal to Maryanne, and you could see the care she put into getting them just right. Even in the middle of all the chaos, Maryanne still found time to crack some of the funniest one-liners, keeping the mood light and everyone smiling.

It was one of those mornings where you could really appreciate the effort and heart that goes into making an event come together. Hope it was an amazing day for everyone who attended!

Kia Ora from New Zealand. Mary-Anne's sister here. I flew in Monday night, just in time for the Langtrees High Tea. Wow!!!
People were lining up outside in the heat, eager to come join. Mary-Anne said earlier, there were close to 100 guests. I think there would have been closer to 200. We didn't keep numbers, but it would be interesting to ask the "Flying Doctors", just how many donations came in during that time. At one point, I counted 53 people, sitting with Mary-Anne, listening intently to her life experiences, while the awesome staff were conducting tours in small groups. Once the tour was completed, they were then introduced to Mary-Anne. Everyone I spoke, with were so excited and just loved experience. Very impressive event. Re: the Scones. I've got to work here so I'm not weighing in, but I do Love Pumpkin :)

What a great day it has been. :)

I ended up at the door, greeting people and helping them through the donation process. Actually, everybody was more than happy to donate to a very good course.
I did get a chance to chat with all our visitors on their way in and out.
All up I would say we had around 70 - 80 people coming through our doors, mainly females from all walks of life. "Curiosity" was the reason given for attendance. It was a steady flow so no need to queue in front of the door.
Once through the donation process, one of the staff members took them on a brothel tour in small groups of 2 to 6 people. After the tour and refreshed with a cup of tea and a homebaked scone most of our visitors went into the back lounge to meet Mary-Anne and Sally. Judging by the time people spent in the back lounge it must have been interesting and entertaining which was confirmed by the positive feedback people gave given me on the way out........ I think people realise that hi, we are human just like the rest.

I think we should organise another open day at Langtrees of Perth and if the positive feedback spreads around we probably can expect double or triple the amount of people.
