I feel so sad for him and his family. He spent all these years doing such a dangerous sport and then this happened to him. I really hoped he would have gotten out of that coma quick, so let's pray a miracle will save him!

Maybe it is better if the family lets him go. Somebody like Schumacher would hate to be a physical vegetable and who knows what brain injuries he might carry as well.
What a terrible decision to make.

I read yesterday that he lost a shocking 25% of his body weight! He is supposedly still be in the 'waking up' phase. Wondering if that is ever going to happen...

So very sad that someone who lived life so lustily should be reduced to this. Kinda makes you realise the importance of having a 'living will', so that if you're ever in a bad accident your family can be aware of whether you'd want to continue being kept alive artificially. It must be agonising enough for his loved ones, and having an idea of his wishes might alleviate some of that. All the best to he and his family though.

Guess that is all muscle mass he has lost. The physios must do a very good job to keep the joins flexible not to mention bedsores. I used to work in a hospital as a student........it really doesn't take long for an immobile person to develop bedsores.........maybe the family should let him go.
