A 17-SECOND video documenting what looks to be verbal and physical abuse inflicted on an employee by his boss in a Singapore office went viral over the weekend.

Footage shows a man continually hitting the head of his younger subordinate, punctuated by the use of rough words.

The unnamed abuser first uses his fist to strike a blow at the start of the video and is shortly interrupted by a young man who steps in and asks the abuser to stop.

But the bespectacled supervisor ignores the mediator, continuing to strike three consecutive blows on the silent victim who remains seated.

Wow amazing! There's no place for physical or psychological abuse in any workplace. Those that do make me wonder how they conduct themselves in their personal lives.

That is disgusting. Bullying in the work place, insults, put downs, nastiness whether physical or mental are totally wrong. When adults behave like this, what chance does the next generation have? :(

The thing that amazes me is that this guy has probably done it before and got away with it before. And probably does it at home or has it done to him at home. The other thing I find scary is what would have happened if the employee stood up and stabbed him with a letter opener or punched him back.

Not to many problems that can't be sorted by Mr Ca$h and a couple of Verginas.

These two hot under the collar employees need a couple of ice cold coldies.

Ahoy;- Arrrrrrrr as far as the video is concerned, my view point is that it is a set-up and fiction, a little bit of ham acting.
Why is there a video cut-in the middle of the video?
Why is the lighting so good in an office area?
Why is the camera depth of field so well set-up that the fore ground and back ground is completely sharp?
Why is all the action of the shot, for some reason all in the middle of the frame??????????
Why is the audio, clear and not distorted with office background rubble?
They just wish to be the latest;--- Shooting-star on the net!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can assure you the video is real and this morning, the victim made a police report.

Victim in viral video which shows boss slapping him files police report

By Melissa Lin

A worker, who was slapped by his boss in a video that went viral over the weekend, has lodged a police report, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) said in a statement on Monday. A Shin Min report said that the worker was an intern in the company.

The Ministry said it was notified about the video via e-mail and is in touch with the person who recorded the video. MOM will be working with the police on the case.

The 17-second video, uploaded onto Youtube last Friday night, shows a man continually hitting the head of his younger subordinate, punctuated by the use of vulgarities.

The unnamed abuser first uses his fist to strike a blow at the start of the video and is shortly interrupted by a young man who steps in and asks the abuser to stop. But the bespectacled supervisor ignores the mediator, continuing to strike three consecutive blows on the silent victim who remains seated. The person who recorded the video wrote online that he is an intern at the company where he claims the abuse occurs regularly.

THE software company supervisor at the centre of an employee- abuse scandal is facing new allegations from two former interns.

The two women approached the media to tell how they "worked in fear" at Encore eServices because of their boss' apparent explosive temper.

They came forward after reading newspaper reports earlier this week of a YouTube video, which showed a young man being hit repeatedly by his supervisor at Encore eServices' Jurong East office.

One of the women - who asked to be identified as Miss Liang, 23 - told Chinese language daily Shin Min that she worked at the company during an internship arranged by her university in 2011.

This is in Singapore - it's totally un-Singaporean too. My colleagues in a sister branch over there tell me there's been quite an uproar.

Don't the Singaporeans cane people for jaywalking? We could do with some laws like that here.

not for jaywalking, i don't think, you get a fine. But if you wield a spray paint and vandelising property that's not yours, cane is the certain toy you will get in prison, souvenir from the law enforcement in Singapore.

Correction, it's neither un Australian or un Singaporean - it's totally inhuman!
