Nonsensical and whimsical unimportant sayings and rhymes - what are yours?

Back home in the mother land lol I grew up with lots and lots of things that as a child seemed cool, but now I look or repeat and think - really!!!???
So Ill share couple of those I remember word for word ( tho Ill spare you the entirety lol)

The Jumblies -
They went to sea in a Sieve, they did,
In a Sieve they went to sea:
In spite of all their friends could say,
On a winter’s morn, on a stormy day,
In a Sieve they went to sea!
And when the Sieve turned round and round,
And every one cried, “You’ll all be drowned!”
They called aloud, “Our Sieve ain’t big,
But we don’t care a button! we don’t care a fig!
In a Sieve we’ll go to sea!”

We can also add Jabbawocy -
Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:

more Lewis Carroll

In my youth,” said his father, “I took to the law,
And argued each case with my wife;
And the muscular strength, which it gave to my jaw,
Has lasted the rest of my life.”

So what are your nonsensical verses or saying that just stick in your head ( probably not many to come from Gen Y or Z but bet all your fellow Baby boomers or X's know a few lol)

When I was one, I sucked my thumb,
The day I went to sea.
I climbed aboard a pirate ship
And the Captain said to me:
‘We’re going this way, that way,
Forwards backwards,
Over the Irish Sea.
A bottle of rum to fill my tum
A Pirates’ life for me’.

When I was ten, I started again,
The day I went to sea.
I climbed aboard a pirate ship
And the Captain said to me:
‘We’re going this way, that way,
Forwards backwards,
Over the Irish Sea.
A bottle of rum to fill my tum
A Pirate’s life for me’.

Once there was an elephant,
who tried to use the telephant
No! No! I mean an elephone
Who tried to use the telephone
(Dear me! I am not certain quite
That even now i've got it right.)
However it was, he got his trunk
Entangled in the telephunk;
The more he tried to get it free
The louder buzzed the telephee
(I fear i better drop the song
of elehop and telephong!)

Dont recall all of this one, but was a poem I learnt very young to learn the alphabet- which clearly I didn't learn too well as Iv forgotten it now - was a Spike Milligan I think
Twas midnight in the school room and all the desks were shut
When suddenly from the Alphabet was heard a loud tut tut

Said A to B, "I don't like C;
His manners are a lack.
For all I ever see of C
Is a semi-circular back!"

"I disagree," said D to B,
"I've never found C so.
From where I stand he seems to be
An uncompleted O."

Explains why Iv always struggled with words lol, never got past E!!!

Personally the best cars I have owned have been top range mercs - and yes I drove them and I loved them!! BTW I have two grand kids so guess I am a granny!! however my supercharged merc left most boys behind in their holders etc!!! Like most cars they have to be driven and I know how to do that!!

I did lower my standards once and own a BMW - but it will never happen again, rather drive a gogomobile = more reliable !!;);)

I drove a Merc in Germany, as was very disappointed. Plastic bucket of sponges. Never again.
