I have a mission!

Due to intense financial stress I've let my health go, I'm very unfit and overweight. I come on here every now and then to say hello but the reality is I can't afford to spend time with a lady, and even if I did - well, lets say the mind is willing but the body ain't able :)

So my mission is twofold. One, to put away a little bit each pay so I can afford the time. That's possible now, no huge challenge, just a matter of time. The next one is mighty hard though, the goal is to lose 17kgs before I see someone.

Then we can both enjoy it :) I want to be able to be passionate and full of energy, to feel and give pleasure without my lungs giving out. Hell, I want to walk up a flight of stairs without running out of breath!

Just thought I'd make the public statement to help keep me on the straight and narrow. Wish me luck!

And here's some inspiration for me :)

Mate, great work. A few years ago i went through a similiar stage. Money is always tight lol.

Exercise has become a huge part of my daily life. I've had 3 lazy days with no exercise since Nov 1st!

Squat. They WILL change your life.

Cardio is great but you need to build muscle as well. Old tyres are free and great. Run say 50m, walk 100m and repeat. great cardio HIIT training.

Are you in a gym if so ignore the broscience!

I have 2 mates who are pro atheletes and their comments about a well oiled machine needs grease occasionally rings true. Try and mainly eat paleo but gotta enjoy some junk sometimes

But seriously, squat. Arse to grass and your life will improve 300%

Good on you, pause78. I am sure you will make it work. The first weeks are the worst but as soon as you notice the first success and the great feeling that goes with it you don't want to stop.
Exercise is the key to your personal goal. Best to start with a personal trainer. They will tell you what to do to archieve your goals plus they keep you motivated.
Good luck and lot's of fun ;)

All the best Mr. Pause. I am in the same boat called "Inertia". Lots of potential but no kinetic movements. It's a boat that carries alot.

You've given me pause for thought! there's always more we can all do to improve our health and our fitness, so well done and I'm sure you'll meet your goal and you'll never look back. The first couple of weeks are the most difficult with new exercise I find, then after that it just gets better :)

I partake in some group training sessions and i remember our first session back in january. We picked up 21 new girls and 7 guys... some chubby, some obese and some slim.

16 never came back after the first session, 7 lasted less than a month but the remaining 5 are fitter, stronger and healthier than ever.

The other 23 are another 12 months closer to health problems.

Soon it'll be the skinny kid at school getting teased!!

How you going pause? I've been slack and have only had 2 training sessions this last week and im feeling shitter for it but im getting a heavy squat session on christmas morning from santa:)
