I make sure I tell my mum I love her every time I say goodbye to her on the phone ,which is regularly. Mind you it's easier knowing she is 1000 km away .

My mum and I have had an up down roller coaster relationship, these days have been better and I try to tell her as often as it comes naturally, but I'm better with gestures than words.

My mums pretty good, can be a PITA but we have a good relationship. I'm not a mummies boy but I usually text, see or speak to her at least a couple of times a week. The conversation always ends with I love you and it always has since i was young. Same with dad.

They are far enough away that catching up isnt an issue but enough that they cant just drop around:p

My Mum passed away a few years ago suddenly but when she was alive, I spoke to her all the time and let her know how much I loved her. I wish I spent more time with her and did more for her but I thought she would be around forever. She always told me life was precious and you never know when your time on this earth is up. I miss my Mum's words of wisdom and sense of humour.

I remember when I left home to venture out into the big wide world, she said to me "darling, I don't care what you do for money, as long as it's not lying on your back" :p, she'd probably be turning in her grave right now:eek:, poor Mum xoxoxox

It would crush me completely if any thing happened to my Mom (or my Dad for that matter)... we are a very close family - most of my Aussie friends think we are forever in each others' face ...but we take it as normal....

Yes my Mom talks to me all the time.... I always seem to be rushing her on as I am always on the move.... however I try every week to spend one whole day quality time with her a week ..... take her out for lunch, get her hair done, shop at the asian supermarkets, that sort of thing..... means a lot to her.....

Mothers Day is BIG at our house!:p:p:p

I love my mum! I tell her every day, we talk constantly on Facebook (I think she likes to keep track of me!) and send lots of long winded emails haha

I always tell my mum I love her. Even if we have had a disagreement. She has always been there for me, even after I have made wrong decisions...which was more than often.
Something that sticks in my mind as a teenager and young adult are my mothers calm and wise words...
"Do it if that's your choice...But, just know...its not with my approval".
How those words came back to haunt me... time and time again.

My Mum just got diagnosed with Alzheimers last week. It is so sad for me to think she won't remember things in the next year or so (if we have that long) so I want her to be as happy now as is possible..I tell her I love her ...because I do. I will remember even if she does not.

Thats why we have to make the best of them while they are here. Never know when time is up.
Try to make every day a happy day and get the most out of it.

Took me a while to get there (mum and I have never been best friends) but now I am telling her that I love her whenever I talk to her. Guess we all have issues with either mum or dad or both but you come to a stage when it is not important anymore and you just love them for the fact that they are your parents.

Even though I have children to spoil me every Mothers Day, I still get sad. My Mum died quite young and I miss her all the time. She was the rock in my family . To everyone out there who still have parents, make the most of their company, regardless of your differences of opinion. If you don't, you may regret it some day.:(
