What advice would you say, as a WL, to maintain a healthy work/life balance

Don't burn yourself out!
Give yourself time for self care and even if it's busy make sure you give yourself adequate time off to rest, don't over commit and take on too much because nobody will be there to cover your bills and expenses when you get sick or run down.

As Pete mentioned healthy food and exercise but I'm terrible with this and it's my 2023 goal to make sure I eat healthier and exercise 🤣

Have goals to work towards there is nothing more rewarding than achieving the goals we set ourselves whether they are personal or professional ❤️❤️

Sadly work/life balance is often the impossible dream as we all have financial imperatives that swing the pendulum in favour of work most often. As lame as it sounds one of my coping mechanisms for an over busy life is to find the beauty in every day. It's not my phrase or idea and I have no idea where I read it but it works for me. Find perfection and beauty in a sunrise, a flower, a taste, a feeling etc and take 10 minutes out of your day to really focus on it. Block out the brain chatter and chaos and just immerse yourself in that beauty. If you can do it multiple times a day all the better. It reconnects you to simplicity, feelings and the purity of the magnificence that surrounds us.

Instead of doing a normal job, some ladies choose to become a working lady. Some foreign sex workers are forced to pay off debt and get deported if they speak out about it. Many sex workers have high bills/debt to pay off or have habits that need financing. Not easy to have a life balance doing sex work. Drugs are often taken to cope with doing sex work.

Thanks for your insights, does this come from your own experience as a sex worker?

One of the best pieces of advice that’s helped me came from my accountant !! He told me when we met that because we don’t have a traditional job we often forget about the concept of annual leave— it’s so important to give yourself regular breaks! So every 10 weeks, take 7-14 days off completely, for either a staycation or a trip out of town. Even if you’re saving for something big, you can absolutely spare some money and time to treat and take care of yourself.

Your accountant must have a lot of teachers as clients given his annual leave recommendations!

Haha actually he only works with sex workers! It just so happens that our slow periods tend to be school holidays times when all the dads are home with their kids ;) So I guess it would make sense our schedules would line up with teachers haha
