People intrigue me. All the great and different fashion people wear, as well as tattoos or jewellery etc.
I wondered what people thought.
Is it wrong to look at other people, if only for a second when you are with someone?
Or does your partner do it too?
When is the line crossed between looking and perving on someone?

I suppose it depends how often and why.

If your with someone it could be seen as "shopping" for another partner when you are with them. If all you are doing is looking at other people when you are with them, that would be kind of inconsiderate.

I understand what you are saying, and at some point in a relationship you could probably both be comfortable with looking at other people a bit more.

Some people are so insecure that any glance at another person by their partner is offensive. If you are admiring someone's tatt, or hair, you could try pointing it out to your partner, but probably not in a "You should dress like this..." way.

It should probably be decided on a person by person basis.

It's perfectly natural to be interested in what is going on around you, but rude to ignore the person you are with.

My finacee and I both enjoy people watching and having a general 'perve'. We do it together and often compare notes - hair, eyes, smiles, the walk, clothes, general charisma, the works really. Many times we 'like' similar features and other times not.... We are both secure people in ourselves and our relationship - so it really doesn't present a problem for us - it's another aspect of our lives that we enjoying sharing with each other...

thats it as well. Being secure in the relationship. My partner and i dont do it all the time. But say we are going somewhere new or somewhere we havent been to awhile its fun to. As long as your not doing it for the wrong reasons. Hehe Temptme its true it is so fun to have that with a partner. Hehe my main reasons for my posts is curiousity to see if others do the same or how people find things.

My ex and i both people watch, we always used to notice the people around us and what they were doing, saying or wearing. I have noticed a lot of people don't though.....they kinda live in a bubble! I have a thing for shoes....i notice shoes a lot. My friends think i'm weird when i mention it so i tend not to these days!

Hmm. All sorts of possibilities here. I would challenge any man with a normal hormone count to ignore a pretty girl even if he is with a fox at the time. It is a normal human reaction and you cannot fight nature.

However, convention also dictates that staring too long at another person is offensive. Openly gaping with mouth open and drool flowing is not a good look.

Best way is to look openly rather than furtively and, if the subject busts you, meet his/her eye, give them a smile and say "hello". Nothing says loser louder than a sudden guilty look away.

I am a huge perve and always appreciate good talent... If I am with my partner I dont say anything unless it is something amazing. He seems to think that because I am bi, that he should point out every woman he finds attractive because I should appreciate it to, but it just annoys me. I would rather us both see a girl with awesome boobs and both silently smile and have naughty thoughts! Haha!

If I am looking at someone because they are different (ie covered in tatts, terrible fashion choices, making a scene) I usually just watch subtley rather than make it obvious. I wouldnt want to offend anyone...

both my hubby and i love a good perve, and often point out good looking people to each other. i must say it still makes me laugh when he points out a guy and says something along the "he has a great body" because he insists he is straight... but we also have limits, i guess if he stares at someone too long, especially someone i consider heaps better looking then me ill give him a little tap and tell him to stop perving, lol. neither of us get jealous though. curiosity is a part of life someone who says they never look must be lying!

I perve on men and women, but not as much as i do my husband! i love watching him walk away! hehehe

me and my girlfriend we look at other people like there bums or breats.Nothing wrong in that as i say you can look at the menu but you cant sample.
