Hi just wondering if anyone knows of Loan companies for working ladies?
25k is what I would be interested in.
I’ve only just returned to work so my banking looks terrible at the moment

Any advice would be great…

Thanks

Sadly once you get to 3/4th tier lenders who will welcome your business you will be paying astronomical interest rates. If the money is for something you can hire long term (a car for example) I would do that until you have your finances in better shape for mainstream lenders. All lenders are vultures IMO :)

I agree with Mrys, you need a savings history over 3 to 6 months when you are self employed. And a mainstream Bank wont do this Industry without an ABN and a years trading at least. So start saving and hold off on the handbag purchases!

Try non-bank landers e.g. Aussie home loans etc.
Don't go to those emergency loan 'til pay cheque comes lenders though, they're ripoff artistes. Do you own your own home? If so, the equity may help but it's a razor-sharp edge you walk on depending on rates and the time period you opt to repay.

I guess the $64,000 question is... what do you need it for? A car? A lifesaving operation? A wedding? Only reason I ask is to see if there are other avenues. It'll help the sages on this board to help you.

At present day rates, $26k repaid over a 3 year period is almost $300 a week (allowing for variables). Tread carefully. Will you still be in the same line of work earning as much for 3 years? Hence telling us what it's for would be useful.

It's very hard for anyone who is self employed, we need trading history, abn, tax returns or BAS etc in order to prove our income is stable and not likely to change significantly during the loan term. Self employed is more risky so the interest rates will reflect this. :( it's very difficult unfortunately

To start a business, in the adult industry it’s annoying as I know it will be profitable

The good times (if you want to call it that) are expected to last another three years. Set yourself a goal and work towards saving the money at $1000 a month ($250 a week). If it's a good idea it can wait as long as you don't share the idea with anyone. Thought of the National Bank of Mum and Dad?

You can request suppression of your ABN so that you can remain private while acting like a business and lodging tax returns, with GST registration if you earn enough. But if your income isn't banked and in your tax returns (or tax returns of an entity you control) then any lender risks both you not having enough income to repay the loan and you disappearing with their money.

You could create a company to employ you and give you payslips, but this is cannot legally be kept private from people who know how to search.

25K is a small sum for earning capabilities for one of us ladies. That is a huge red flag. Even in the current economic crisis, a working lady can earn that in a short time.
Do you have a business plan, an executive summary, or a competition analysis? Have you studied business management? These are all important things in starting any business.
As a former adult industry business owner. I can tell you, no amount of money is worth the headache.
Work on building your brand and clientele

To be honest, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. You're earning good money now, use that to invest in a property which you can rent out. Like Miss Monique said, some things aren't worth the headache. Put half your money aside as a depost on a house or good townhouse or flat near a uni or hospital - they're very rentable.

Look at the late Anastacia in Perth who built up a decent real estate portfolio but she had a goal and stuck to it. Her death was sad but she built up some decent wealth.

Yeah, I was surprised by the size of the desired loan as WLs can pull in a lot of cash. I guess the ATO must be taking a good chunk of the earnings.

No one will lend money to a declared escort in today's world 30 years ago, they did, but we are politically unacceptable as a source of income. To borrow money to buy a home ladies have to have a straight job and a group certificate to have any chance even with a 50% deposit/

That sucks! (no pun intended) It's self employment like most contractors/tradies. The better you are at any job, the more you get paid. Based on an hourly charge out rate SW's are up there with most professional occupations. What makes lenders the moral guardians of society? Or are we still in the dark ages.
