It will not stop sales if the price locally is still at a ridiculous high.
A major factor to deter the internet sales is the exchange rate. But then that will mean prices will go up domestically too. Then we're back to [1].

Right on the money, Homer.

Personally, I would prefer to spend my money locally, support a local business and keep an Australian in a job. If I pay a few dollars over the odds by doing that it is worth it in my book.

There is also the fact that if the goods are not up to scratch I can go and thump on the counter and sort it out face to face.
