Recently a friend of mine was sent to Yongah Hill for over staying a holiday visa,
All fair you might say but, here he was subjected to inhumane conditions and forms of mental and physical torture were endured. He subsequently escaped and was quite willing to give himself up to the authorities if his safety was ensured and would not be returning to the place where said tortures where inflicted.

Suffice to say the was no guarantee that he would not be returned to the same place.
My friend remained on the run until earlier this week when he has recaptured.

Information regarding his where abouts and condition have been met with silence by his fiance when querying the respective authority
Her heartbreak is shattering and the tears that well up inside me at her fear for his safety is devastating.

These people who hold him prisoner do have a right to do their job. But they also have a social responsibility to ensure the well being of their guests and loved ones. After all the are NOT criminals.

His fiance has managed to drive an be with him over the past week (though no touching allowed) and now, again absolutely no idea of his whereabouts as he has been transferred.

How can these pricks get away with this.
Please if you have an avenue I can explore please PM me.

I'm sympathetic to what the guy has been through but we see enough on the news to know that these Detention Centres are to be avoided at all costs. By overstaying his visa he will be banned from entering the country for a period of time which I think is three years. Maybe more in this case because he went on the run. The best course of action is always to return home on time and then return after the minimum period for a return has expired.

If you live in Perth I would suggest you make an appointment to meet with the staff of Michaelia Cash and take it from there.

You are wasting your time, he has to return to his own country. He can reapply from his country, but needs to have all his paper work in order and it will take about 18 months. We once had a French girl that was deported, but she was allowed back as a resident 2 years later.
The cost now days for a application is around $20,000 and he will need a reputable agency.
Its sad but it is the law and their is no way around it.

To Christmas Isalnd.
And he was NOT a rioter.
The government does have a duty of care and they have spectacularly highlighted to the world their contempt and insignificance they place on the detainees.

Yes my friend has been there all that time since my last post.
