Are most of us a bunch of hypocrites???
Have you eaten your Hot Cross Bun yet??
After all, what does Easter mean to you? How many of us will go to church and how many of us just like to enjoy the time off work.
Why is it that some of us like to smoke, drink, gamble and say we don`t really believe in a God but will still eat only fish today? How many of us say bless you when somebody sneezes?
How many of us will still insist on getting married in a church?

Like we have said privately BB let the christian's believers or no have Good Friday/Christmas And let others Whether Hindi Buddist
Muslim Take a day off for their holy day
It would still allow a holiday but many of our shops etc would still be open
So Good Friday get a R&T from a Buddist girl a kebab on the way home in a taxi driven by a Sihk

Surely BB is right FB The majority of society nowadays believe in a secular nation are taught evolution
But we still like the nice aspects of our christian heritage Holidays at easter and Christmas, Hot Cross buns
and often say bless you another ancient christian saying Church weddings
I do think that comes under hypocrisy

As an agnostic atheist I'm happy to be labeled a hypocrit if it means I get a "free" day off :D

I had a steak burger for lunch but will have some freshly caught hapuka for dinner. If anything, it gives people a push towards eating fresh fish. Something we should all be doing more.

I went to church this morning. Big deal. Some would say that that makes me a hypocrite.

Crikey!!

That lady has more guts than most men would have. I would like to see the Police disperse that mob of rabble-rousers with water cannon and tear gas.

On the balance I honestly believe that mankind would be better off if religion, all religion, had never been invented.

Nope no hot cross buns or easter eggs yet.
Easter means family and good friends time to me..
I eat fish on Good Friday because I'm naughty and am hoping to hedge my bets lol
Getting married in a church?
Well I can't comment on getting married, never have yet, and don't really think it will ever happen for me,,but if I do the great outdoors would most likely be my church.

It is frightening as it seems that slowly, they are taking over Europe. The Danish seem to have the biggest problem, and they normally are quite lenient towards "foreigners"

The end is nigh, just hope that the world and the Muslims wake up to this rabble before it can't be reversed without bloodshed.

Amen. Oops. :)

Bill Maher's docu-comedy "Religulous" is very good reference material.

There are just as many christian "cults" that are similarly inclined from a christian perspective. They just do it a lot quieter and do it behind the scenes, gathering power and putting their people into important places. Remember the Howard government links with the Christian Brethren. There's a prime example.

Yes, I enjoyed Bill Maher's commentary on religion, however, I was disappointed to see him diss a woman who was choosing to take a liberal view on religion and God/god. She was explaining how she sees it, and he cut her off and walked away exclaiming, "Oh, no, no, no, that's not how religion works." That makes him as bad as all the religious people that he was slagging off, in my opinion. People have a right to view religion the way they wish, and if they choose not to take the written words of their religion literally, but rather, as a more spiritual and personal guide, then that is their perogative. I have to say, that although I really love Bill Maher's comedy, I found HIM to be the hypocrite on that score.

Yes Alecia a extremist is a extremist no matter what there belief system
Like a few months back that young lady who survived her ordeal in Argentina She thanked her friends and family for praying for her And said her belief in god helped her to get through it
Yet the West Australian had some terribly vitriolic letters about her So atheists can be just as belligerent & polarising in their beliefs.
I say if it helped her good for her
Me? Not a religious bone in my body Just cant handle extremes whether religion, politics, even causes like the greens

Yes I, like many others am a Hypocrite.

I will tell someone to quit smoking while I am breathing my own filthy smoke.
I cross the road with out holding anyone's hand and shake my head when a mum doesn't do the same with their toddler.
I spend all my money on clothes, food, toys and friends and get upset when I see people hungry and homeless.
I never watch the news on TV or Newspaper and when something goes down it hits me hard.
I give others compliments but find it difficult to accept them from anyone else.
I live on the edge, dangerous always, and I tell people to be safe and careful.

The world is chokkas full of silly hypocrites.

It would be hypocritical of me to complain about it. I admit it. I am a hypocrite. Full stop.

Amen to that........ the Greens are frightening.

Yep, now there is real hypocrisy in action.

Say you are all about saving whales, hugging trees and protecting the planet to get naive young idealists to vote for you when, really, you are nothing but a bunch of far-left lunatic fringe socialists.

Can't comment on the Australian Green Party, but is not true of the NZ Greens.
