Holiday Romances - is it real?

Was recently on holidays overseas and met a lady who I felt a real connection with. Was it lust or was I caught up in the whirlwind of a carefree holiday romance?

No doubt she was beautiful, and there was a huge language barrier between us, as I had to use google translator to communicate alot lol, but even with limited words between us, I somehow still felt this strange connection.

It was only two days we spent together, but I can't stop thinking about her. However, there would be no future for certain due to both mine and her circumstances.

Has anyone been also caught up in a holiday romance and taken it further?

This brings to mind the movie Before Sunrise.

Its a shame asianguy77 that the language barrier was difficult, because you could have kept in contact via F/B or Skype. May be it was lust at first sight ......unfortunately ive never had the pleasure of being on holiday by myself to encounter a fling.to me thats a shame.

I've had quite a few that have only lasted the length of the holiday but one lasted 20 years. I met my ex while I was working as a musician on the cruise ship called the Fairstar in 1990. She was a passenger and the ship was on a 5 week trip to Japan. It broke down in the south china sea and was adrift for 5 days with no electricity or regular meals and everyone had to sleep on deck - 1500 passengers and about 250 deck chairs. She had one and invited me to share it with her. 5 days later I got of and we were rescued and got married a year later. The relationship was wonderful for years but sadly it ended.

Thank you for your reply. Actually I am communicating with her through a chat app on mobile. It's actually easier because can still use google translate lol

20 years is one long holiday romance. Sorry to hear it didn't last.
