If my glass is half full and I can afford more drink to fill it then I am doing well...
if my glass is half empty I have drunk whats in it and enjoyed it, and same again if I have funds to top it up then I am doing well..

+ I work in an industry where by I have to think about backup/fail over/redundancy/ etc etc before I even think about production.... How to keep systems alive in the event of a pessimistic outcome, for example A Manager comes to me wanting a new system built, my 1st words to them are Where is the going to be backed up, where is the fail over nodes going to be housed, do we have redundancy there, and capacity, etc etc.... so hey pessimism is part of my role and what I make coin selling....
