A former Ravenswood resident has been suspended from racing after his greyhound tested positive for amphetamine following a win in Mandurah.
Trainer Robert Westworth is due to appear before a Racing and Wagering Western Australia (RWWA) inquiry on September 9, 2019.

Amphetamine was detected in a sample taken from Miss Bondi in Mandurah, where it competed and won race 10, on April 23, 2019.
RWWA sought a second opinion from an independent laboratory provider that also confirmed the presence of the drug.

A statement from RWWA said Mr Westworth was cooperative during an unannounced search of his training premise.
"Mr Westworth co-operated fully at that time and also participated in a video interview," the statement said.
The Southern River resident's seven greyhounds have been suspended pending the inquiry outcome.
The dog is owned by Mr Westworth's partner Michelle Romer and Simon Allan and Grant Adamson.
Mr Westworth told the Mandurah Mail he was innocent.
"I am innocent and didn't do it," he said.
"I don't know what's happened.
"I have been involved in greyhounds for 35 years. I have a perfect record."
Mr Westworth said he was "absolutely beside himself".
"This has been my livelihood for 25 years," he said.
"For the last three weeks I've had no income.

"I've had my life taken away from me."
An RWWA spokeswoman told the Mail they invested in prohibited substance control as part of a strategy to uphold the "highest level of integrity" within the WA racing industry.

Someone once referred to the hounds as the poor man's horse racing. If Crystal Meth's given to dogs, I have to wonder what sort of drugs they pump into race horses and the ones in the Melbourne Cup!
