Lots of liquids the secret.
Also a flu shot great value.
First time I took a flu shot went to UK and had two winters in one year, 24 hours on a plane with coughing sick passengers and no flu.
I have a flue shot before April 24 in Australia to give shot a chance to before the cold weather. :)

BTW I would have loved to say more sex, enjoyable but not proven yet. :)

Lots of H2O, fruits rich in Vitamin C...leafy vegetables...and more H2O. I down an average of 3L, hence the water tank I carry around. lol

Two afflictions I can't stand 1. The flu 2. Vomiting.

I've been fighting the flu for what seems like ages, go over the first one only to be hit by another.

Taking lots of vitamins, drinking water eating better and getting rest and sleep...only thing I have up my sleeve this time round is I've been taking a probiotic as well.

I hate winter for this very reason- bring back the heat!

Only two things I would ever recommend for winter ailments.

1. Colloidal Silver.

2. Or if it is so terminally bad (seriously) to the point where anyone's multiple systems are compromised that day to day task/s seem impossible - perhaps it's time to see the doctor. If it is indeed so serious (think meninggococal), then it could be the underlying symptoms of a much bigger problem at hand...this is where I start to draw the line.

---

However, S.A.D does occur and anyone can educate themselves first about what they can do as options within their power first without resorting to antibiotics. I wrote in an earlier thread posting actual news threads that antibiotics are apparently become increasingly useless.

For what it's worth (to anyone who can ever spent more than five minutes reading), I've reposted those here again. I am serious, folks. We have only been used to so much OTC painkillers and antibiotics since we're VERY young and guess what happens? they no longer work.

About colloidal silver
In simple terms - nanonised silver particles suspended in fine distilled water. Taken either orally to disinfect, eliminate pathogens (any precusor bacteria that attacks or affects the immune systems), as well as anti microbial, anti fungal liquid solution.

How to take
ABSOLUTELY NOBODY needs to drink glasses upon glasses of these. Day or night. From my experience, I only take it as I needed it in small quantities. Gargle swish swallow in maybe a shotglass amount.

Where to get it
Any good discount chemist (there's discount drug store in Innaloo that stock them) or any natural health supplementation store stock them. $25 for a whole bottle. Still had mine for at least a year from last purchase.

Again, I sincerely hope the above helps.

I'm really curious about this colloidal silver! I do have a little stash of spagyrics and recently bought some Propolis which is a bit yuck to taste and haven been utilising it enough to comment on its overall effectiveness.

You know what. Flu meds, upping the vitamin C all good and well.

I ate junk food. Greasy horrendous carb loaded junk food and felt better for it. Don't know why, you can judge all you want but it worked for me. I'd suggest hearty meals/comfort food and rug up sweat the horror out :)

I agree M... KFC or Burger King will do it too... or then there's smackers....that's where you get a burger after you get the flu spanked out by a medical specialist. I'd recommend the Big smack combo - and get it supersized! :D

There is a place here in Perth that does the BEST Vietnamese drop noodle soup! The clearest stock, freshest noodles, and then it's got fresh coriander, mint, chilli, lemon and bean sprouts that you add to it and oh my gods it's amazeballs!

This is what I do, well try its hard but if you can stick it you can bowl it over in a couple of days.
1. Stop eating proteins....milk and meat, milk is what builds the mucus up in your nose, and protein takes a lot of energy to break down and digest.
2. Only eat fruit and throw in capsicum. Capsicum has 3 times the amount of vitamin C than oranges, eat what fruit you like, kiwi fruit, mandarins, bananas, apples, pears, cherries, whatever you like and whatever is in season.
3. dress warm, take that jumper, but when you go inside take it off otherwise you have nothing to put back on, being warm means your body has more energy to replenish the white blood cells which is your immune system, and needs less to burn to keep warm.
4. Maintain your fluids, water, orange juice, or any juice, stop drinking all kinds of other drinks, soft drink, coffee tea, eating fruit will replenish some fluids and you may not like drinking, but don't let yourself get thirsty.
5. Rest if you can, most of us need to keep working, but if your employed, you get 10 sick days a year...use them.

That's it, hope it helps, I haven't been sick for years, and I think its due to my diet, what I just described is what I respond to, no everyone is the same, but if you start, push through, your body will respond. I can't stand antibiotics!

Get Well!
