This novel has hit the book stores and selling like hot cakes.
It is soft porn and is about bondage.
I have not read it but will in a few minutes.

Page 90 the novel heats up. *smile*

I wonder how many here have read the three novels and if they believe it gives an accurate account on bondage?
It is amazing that it is selling so fast.

I've read the first two books and now on the 3rd..find it erotic at times although its consider more of a woman's book!

More than anything, it highlights just how far behind the rest of the world Australia is...

Its only really starting to gather momentum and hype now, yet it shot to fame pretty qiuckly in the states about a year ago.

FWIW, plenty of places to download it to save a few $$

Read all three. It's an OK read, with definitely a female slant.

Some of the scenes where certainly quite interesting and will end up on many a to-do list. :)

Was on a train last night and 5 women were reading it. Three quite openly and another two I suspect were reading it on Kindle. ALL of them had their legs folded and I was tempted to ask, "How many of you are moist?"

Driver Brook

Not well written. Over discriptive in non important areas and lacking in depth.
Teenage mills and boon with a glimps into the kink scene.
(just my two cents worth) give me Robert rankin any day!

I hear today that a fair few of my mates are getting far more action as a result of their partners reading this :)

For the blokes, another book worth tracking down is "The Game". Will also help you get laid!

Have heard that the hardware stores have had an increase in sales of rope as a result of this book... I wonder if anyone has thought to check if the handcuffs are flying off the shelves at the sex stores as a result??!!

..."The Story of O" by Pauline Reage is, in my opinion, THE definitive novel on bondage etc. and a "must read" for all the curious and indeed officianados of those particular games-I love it! A true classic of modern French literature, as the words fashion images and sensations in your conciousness you too are also feeling and wincing from each blow of the whip... every violation.... A 1975 film attempted to translate the beautifully honed text to the celluloid image and failed dismally- it was even worse than "Eyes Wide Shut".

I am a bit late to join the discussion so I had to dig it out of the search engine and here we go. Did read part one on my flight back from Frankfurt to Perth.
MMMMMMMMM wasn't sure what to expect, was just curious because everybody seems to talk about it.
Honestly I was disappointed. I agree with Brook....not well written which makes a very hot/sexy/turn on topic rather boring. After the third sexual encounter between the 2 main characters I started skipping pages.
Plus it starts with the same "klischee" as seen so often: A (usually a poor female, not aware of her own beauty) meets B (the rich successful good looking male) and falls madly in love with him..........blablabla........we all know how the klischee works.
I don't think I will read part 2 and 3.

PS: Funny.......a female flight attendant asked me what I think about the book. ........so here we go......everuybody is still talking about it.

Borrowed the book off a girlfriend read about ten pages and the writing was really really bad so flicked on to check out the "erotic" bits and was even more disappointed with the cliched and predictable sex sequence so stopped at that. Not even a twinge!! :-X

Cant believe it has sold so many copies. Have we really dumbed down our population so much with all this reality TV crap!!

If you want a good sex packed novel read Lady Chatterleys Lover - still a classic. :icon_blow

Guess the lady was just lucky that somebody started running with it.........like touchy/exciting/sex topic.......who cares about the quality of the writing.
And then unfortunately a lot of people like myself who just out of curiosity buy it. mmmmmmm good marketing and I am sure she made her coin. Luckily nobody is forced to read/buy part 2 and 3.
