Does anyone have the same feeling as I do .... I hope there is not a bloody massage pardour.....
On Sanderson road is a primary school and also just around the corner is a girls boarding school and a boys boarding school.....
I don't have a problem with this industry as long as it is kept away from primary schools...
To be quite frank lots of young children walk home from school as this is a semi rural area.....
This also could explain recent increase in stranger danger activity.....
Yes you may have worked out I do live in this area and I also have young children who do walk home but since all the emails from the school it has since stopped....

I agree with you Sue 100%. Location for businesses in this industry should not be around schools nor family homes. Here is hoping they shut down and move to somewhere more appropriate.

I think that if we don't speak up for what we believe is wrong then it is allowed to be and over time people view it as being normal. There is nothing normal about having a massage parlor near a school...

I do agree with you, Svengali. Why making it even harder to survive with stupid actions like this.
Now that Barnett is re-elected and Mr. Big Ears close to become PM I do worry about the future of the industry.......and this certainly doesn't help.

So Its NOT ok to have a discreet RNT house that most people wouldnt even know was there because there is a school nearby
BUT,going by the comments above its OK to have a fully fledged Brothel with neon lights advertising that fact near a school. HUH??

I recall that as Kalgoorlie boomed, they passed a by-law that said there couldn't be a brothel within 100 metres of a church.

I have a feeling, in regards to the montessori school being down the road from Langtree's, is that Langtree's was here first. Does anyone out there know if that is the case?
Definitely massage parlours should be far away from schools and residential areas. I can't believe whomever opened it didn't bother to take the fact a school was nearby into consideration!
I was at a shopping centre the other day and noticed they had an adult shop opposite Red dot. I was a bit surprised actually-I would have thought people would have objected, seeing it's a typical family shopping centre and obviously there are children walking past all the time.

I'd say if there was in general a healthier attitude towards sex (it's not something to be ashamed of, everybody is naturally designed to want it, etc) there wouldn't be so many people out there with twisted views of it and therefore doing twisted things. In regards to sex shops in or near shopping centers where kids would witness them is a step towards naturalising things methinks. If school children are walking past a place where sexual acts might be witnessed (via a dodgy set up in a hastily assembled business) this is definitely not okay. Langtrees looks like hotel lobby from the street (if the frosted autodoor happens to be open at that moment) with absolutely NO chance of any passer by witnessing anything more lewd than a handshake or nod hello between consenting adults.
