My whine for the day.

I thought it was only in Australia, but I see it is now commonplace right across the world.

I work in an office/corporate environment and I have noticed that over the years the amount of doco required in order to do ones work is becoming greater all the time.
In fact, I reckon I spend more time filling in compliance doco than actually doing work.

I was chatting to a builder yesterday and he says it is the same thing in the building industry.
He has just been awarded a tender to demolish a shed (granted - it is a very big shed).
Anyway, he tells me that the actual demolition work will take a day whereas the compliance doco has taken him almost a week to complete.

Here is a great example of how doco has taken over our lives.

Hahaha I'm impressed with the last. I know what you mean as I'm dealing with policies which always have to be revised on orders of the department I work for....all this duty of care demands etcetera, etc
