Deposits / paying in advance

Is it just me or has there been a big increase in Ladies asking for deposits or payments in advance? Having been caught once (and luckily not for very much), it's always a request that I politely decline.
Is anyone else noticing a similar trend?
Ladies - or at least the legit Ladies - do you ever ask for deposits? What level of uptake do you get?

I ask for deposits for every new client I never used to however I made a decision based on a few safety concerns I had at the beginning of the year with people having my address & not turning up & someone even followed me home (made a booking didn't show but then followed me home and started sending me sms off various numbers about my address, car etc) so it was either close my books books and see no new clients or request a deposit for the first interaction, I have it on my ads and on the first message I send I have heaps of deposit methods available & if they don't wish to pay that's absolutely fine I find being upfront in the very first message means I don't waste their time or mine. I just feel safer knowing they've paid a deposit and are going to come before I hand over my address.
I completely understand where clients come from around not wishing to pay a deposit, however for me my safety and security is the most important thing.

I get push back from alot of clients who say cash only or they've been scammed in the past and that's why I'm so upfront about it.

I let three new clients not pay deposits in July and all three didn't show, all three were twitter followers and I gave them the benefit of the doubt around the deposit.

Every single person works differently and what works for them might not work for someone else.

Makes sense for an established escort as yourself who has a reputation to uphold. But for all the other unknown no name no brand escorts, yeah no way should a deposit be paid coz hard to know whether it's a scam or not.

Can’t recall where but even on here more well known and “established” escorts have done the dirty to people. No shade to her at all just think people should take every deposit as a red flag because money upfront is the thing you’re suppose to avoid with literally everything

I no longer pay deposits. My experience was with a lady I had seen a few times in a shop. She suggested to meet in a Perth hotel. I paid all upfront in cash in the hotel lobby. She said, "meet in room ______ in a few minutes" I went to the correct floor, and it turns out the room number did not exist. She had switched her phone off, and I was never able to contact her again.

I've only ever done "deposits" to a very nice italian/lebanese lady I used to see and it was for her to book a hotel room for us to meet.

I never pay a deposit, but I always pay upfront unless the lady says to pay at the end. I find it's better to get that out the way straight off the bat rather than haggle over it after the fact!

Ohhh I just had to chime in here

Yes I do ask for deposits from new clients that are pre-booking, I’ve found I don’t need to when it’s short notice as I’m capturing the moment

I do however show my face, have social media, been around a while, have reviews… yadda yadda

If clients didn’t no show or cancel at short notice I wouldn’t have take them, but that’s not how it is and that’s not my fault

I rarely get push back these days, every year it gets easier to get them I guess it’s just becoming normal

Sometimes people prefer to prepay in full so they don’t have to have the interaction of paying me face to face

Personally if I were seeking these services I would only deposit with someone reputable, which I know seems unfair but there are scams and untrustworthy workers

Absolutely don't understand the need for ID. As you have said it removes the anonymity aspect. A WL who collects ID's may also not be the best at keeping the information safe/secure after the booking.

ID also opens one up to blackmail. If a WL asks for ID, it's only fair that she also provides hers in case you wake up in an ice bathtub less 90g-200g (around the weight of one kidney). 🧐

Never been asked for an ID, and if I am asked for one I will decline to provide it!

WLs go by whatever name they choose to call themselves, and I certainly don't need or want to know their real names either.

I would suggest a little bit of editing on your DL, with any image editing program.block out your name, address.

Keep the DL number, that will give the Lady all the comfort she needs for security..if there is an issue the police have that number.

I have only ever asked for ID if they are under 21, I let them know in a message I may request photo ID to show over 18 but that's on arrival and I don't take a copy etc just a glance to make sure DOB and photo match because yeah.. I just want to make sure 🫢
