""A prostitute who claims to have had sex with Federal MP Craig Thomson has been interviewed by Nine Network's A Current Affair. The show is understood to have a statutory declaration from the prostitute regarding her claims"

Link is broken,so has been taken down

What do you think about her coming forward, even if it did happen and about the whole scandale itself?

Naughty Thoughts

He (allegedly) misused funds to the tune of about half a million dollars. Everyone is getting worked up over the few thousand he spent at a brothel. I'd be asking some more hard questions on the other $450,000

There is no scandal until it's proven.

I dont wish to be Contrary BUT.. Scandal can be gossip about peoples faults and wrong doings
So proof is not required
Anyway if proof was required we would not buy a paper As there would only be the sporting results and funeral notices to read

Nine Network paid her about $50,000 for the interview!!!

Amen Lone Road.

It is traditional for unions to support the A.L.P. but I doubt the members of any union would be happy about nearly half a mil of their funds being shovelled into one pollie's campaign war chest. As for the money spent on ladies of the night, that is just the icing on the cake for the press. Nothing like a bit of salacious and spicy gossip to sell papers. If he had spent the money on his car or on entertainment there wouldn't be half the fuss.

What if Mr Thompson spent the money on Ladies of the night By entertaining them in the car The press then get all in one neat package

If it's not proven, it's just malicious gossip, windup and beatup and blind belief. To me it's far from scandal. It'd be interesting if he spent all that money wining and dining the press instead.

Nah!! He probably didn't spend any of it on the press; that is why they are slipping into him. A few bottles of champers and a few decent nibblies may have got him off the hook.

More to the point; I wonder what Mrs Thomson makes of all this? She may end up doing a Lorena Bobbit on him.

The transaction was billed to ''Internat Immobiliare'' on the credit card. I wonder what name it appears when you go to Langtrees or one of the other escort establishments in Perth?

I''m sure if your wife/parter saw a transaction under ''Internat Immobiliare'', that would seem rather suspicious, and perhaps think someone has illegally used the credit card. After further investigations ooopppps....

I had an interesting conversation today with a client who has a Company credit card.

Every time he uses it he is required to keep the transaction slip, identify the item(s) or services bought if it isn't obvious and hand all the slips to the Accounting people at the end of the billing period. I am sure most companies would operate the same way so why the H#ll would anyone with two functioning brain cells use a corporate card in a brothel? This is the only reason I feel there may be something to his allegation that he was set up by someone. If he really is that stupid maybe he does need psychiatric help.

I think it is a breach of the code of confidentiality that exists (albeit unspoken) between prostitute and client. However, I don't know the full story, of course.
