I had somebody ask me this the other day... Too easy I told them but what I didn`t know was they meant around the Perth foreshore. Now I`m not the fittest guy in the world so as much as I enjoyed the scenery as soon as I got off my legs and butt ached no end...
I have a customer aged in his 80`s ride a bike every morning, I just don`t know how he does it...

Maybe you need to get one of those ones that have a small motor-perfect for when your legs start getting tired. Yes I know it defeats the purpose but at least your legs won't hurt!

A tandem is the way to go A fine athletic specimen like Rochelle in the lead would be ideal You can coast and enjoy the scenery It would be up to you what scenery you wanted to look at

Hot tip...buy a gel seat cover. The first ride is always excruciating on the backside/ inner leg, its pain like nothing else!!:tearyeyed

Especially if you have a fat arse and are doing it to lose it.
Guys can buy a seat with a slot in the middle to stop pressure on the prostate.

Bike seats = Pain

It's really only uncomfortable for your legs and arse for a couple of sessions. After 50kms - 100kms you'll be ok. Good quality seat makes a difference as well

BB I bet you knew this would get me going.

I have been riding bikes most of my life from road bikes, mountain, downhill, and even BMX in the old farts class. I have just returned from a two week Downhill riding in Chiang Mai Thailand one of the best downhill places in the world and road with riders from all parts of the world. Going again in July.

Bike riding is a great way to get fit without to much impact on your body. It also will tighten up your ass and get it looking great.
If we are talking Road bikes and doing longer distance your ass will be saw the first few times as a road bike has not got a cumforable seat. You can get some bike pants and they have padding in them. You can also buy padded under ware. Most bigger bike shops sell them.

If you are not a fit person riding is a easy way to start. After a bad bike accident about 7 years ago it took me over a year to recover from some broken bones and with little excersise. I started road riding again and was finding it hard to even do 3 or 4 kms at first. Slowly worked it up over a few months to 20k a day.

I ride most days road, mountain or downhill but I still wont ware those puffy looking bike pants.

Haven't ridden a bike since school days. I'm pretty fit and love riding horses........ they're good for fitness, especially arms and thighs...... and women love riding them too....... and I like to watch.
