Burner phone sims

Been a very long time since I got a new SIM card, and they wanted 100 points of ID if I remember correctly. Where are people getting burner phone sims from these days where you don't need to provide ID? Last year when I was in NZ I bought a SIM at the airport on the way through the duty free section where the telco had a little stand. No ID no questions, simple. Who does that in Australia? Not worried about Telstra network etc. A prepaid one would be ideal, put $20 on that expires in 12 months time.

No one does it, you need ID to activate any Australian sim card. It's just another one of the reasons that identity theft is so huge worldwide.

Just get an aldi/woolies sim, activate it and move on with life :)

I never worried about the ID requirement. Let's face it most people won't be able to track the number back to an identity. The authorities obviously can but if you're being a good boy why would they bother. I always used a burner phone for 'first dates' and changed the sim every 6 months or so.
