For those who know who they are. Here are the 2 greatest martial arts icons from different times.

Yes the later films have a lot of CGI involvement. But the choreography is pretty cool in the new ones.

Drunken Master 2 was insanely good when Jackie Chan got wasted and fought like a madman. Wish I was on a computer so I can find a clip of that.

Don't flame...but they are both great action film actors and martial arts choregraphers. :)

Just my thoughts....

Bruce Lee hands down, no argument there. Bruce is a legend. He is a philosopher and a martial artist. He combined east and west, created his own form of martial art. That is an achievement that over shadows most of these action movie stars for sure.

Donnie Yen is good, no doubt about it. He has been making movies since the 80's or 90's i can't remember exactly.

Bruce made f'all movies before he died. But he certainly had the looks and charisma. Enter The Dragon is great 70's chop socky.

Yuen Biao looks a bit like Bruce.

Sure was I've seen hundreds of HK flicks Sammo was a creative genius.

I'm a bit behind the times now regarding HK cinema

No way, mr C. Yuen Biao does not have the physique of Bruce. One inch punch, 2 finger pushups...Bruce is up there.

Yuen Biao like Donnie was an underdog when it comes to starring in action movies in the 80's and 90's. Yuen Biao was under the same master as Jackie Chan and Samo Hung. They used to star in the same movies together.

You must be an Asian in your previous life...lol...caucasian or asian the asian culture is intriguing and vice versa.

Jackie made lots of nice flicks, where he always injured himself. He is the master of slapstick. Sammo was the same.

Donnie only started to become hot property post 2000.

I remember Tiger Cage being a good Donnie Yen flick. I saw a lot of these movie on SBS or Chinatown video.

Jackie made some great movies. Pity about his Hollywood ventures.

Chinese take away and HK flicks is about all I know of the orient.

Lord - you guys are behind the time... =)

For Donnie Yen, one big film was SPL; cause of Sammo and Jing Wu.. the fight scene were insane and very fast pace. He likes to plays rogue cops.. infact, a lot of HK actors love playing Rogue cops..

Flash Point is another good one - insane end fight..

However, if you really want to pick up something amazing, you can't get pass Ip Man - he smashed HK film record with that. don't watch the sequel though.. it was a POS.

Donnie Yen is THE actor now - so he's been cast in alot of HK movies and unlike Jackie Chan; h didn't worry to much about trying to break into Hollywood - his only attempted was as Iceman in Blade 2; after which.. he just didn't bother.

If you guys have the time; try get 'Flying Swords of Dragon Gate - Jet Li' - it's an OLD OLD martial art story and myth that get a new rendition every decade or so.. and this one was very enjoyable... Tsui Hark is a very well known HK director that does one 'EPIC' film every 1-2 years..

If you guys want more.. I can list out some of the GOOD movies you should watch.. =)

Oh yes.... Tiger Cage 2 was a great old one. It had a lot of character compared to a lot of old HK films.

You are right Donnie Yen is the biggest deal in HK at the moment and did not sell out for a Hollywood placement. Is he still going to make another Ip Man movie?

Fortunately no..he wasn't too happy with the second one as the Up Man franchise started to turn the series into like a rocky movie than a semi autobiography..

The next.. big one it's monkey king.. sen the trailer for it..it's pretty nice.

He's got another one out, I think it's called I'D. I believe it's another cop one..have not seen it.
