Are you still pissed off with me for making all the changes, or are you starting to see the forum will be a better place for all?
Let me know your ideas and feedback on these posts I am going to delete the earlier posts , where a lot got angry with me, if I dont read the comments that were a bit nasty I won't be able to hold it against you.
Are you using the HOME page to see the renaming of forums and forums added.

I did grandfather the foundation members this morning, those members registered in 2004-2006. I personally feel their is a price to pay for everything in life and I don't think becomeing a member making one review or two BLog comments is a high price for what the forum delivers.
It is also a great way to see if new members are worthy of being a Talkin Turkey Member.
I have done all this so members have ownership inside Talkin Turkey and I have ownership of the PUBLIC forums.

I think the changes were looooong overdue and I'm happy to see change and improvement happening. It was a bit confusing there for a while (I'm easily confused perhaps) major change is challenging to initiate and implement but I can definitely see it taking shape now. And it is better! No more random derogatory posts from members who have been around for 9 years and made 7 posts all of which were crap. Better vibe, more pleasant and still informative and collaborative. Good guys Talking Turkey about all sorts. TBH there are some that I would not want back in TT. But that's not my decision it's a collective decision of the Mods and HP. I think we are still looking for a couple more moderators if anyone wants to put their hand up? It's OUR private forum thanks to Mrs Langtrees. It's worth making the effort for gents.

One has to cut off somewhere. If any member really struggled but made the effort, I would grandfather him or her, but we can all learn to do what we need for our hobby or our livlihood so I would make them try first. One of the members came to the opening day and Kate sorted him out in mintes and he had a wonderful afternoon feeling part of a team. That has been missing from the forum for a while. already I anm thinking its coming back. xxxx
 
Gutless guys.15 are Ill reserve my judgement only 3 still pissed off and 3 liking and 3 loving the changes so far so must be doing something right
 
Honestly I don't see any changes. The changes may have moved non advertisers are in a different forum that only long term members can see but once I did what was needed to be granted access I still see all the same types of posts after I click the "New Posts" button.

The private forums will be the last to be cleaned up merged and deletions of old stuff that has no interest. Surely you have noticed all the artwork changes? You must of noticed more than half the forums have been deleted?

Oh no, I have noticed the colour change.

I was saying the new content is still the same. Not as many intel threads as yet but they will come once the users apply to TT.

More for those that were worried the conversations would change. They'll still be the same, just stored in cleaner sub forums.
 
One of the good things as Kate and I moderate all Blog posts we get to see if the member will add to the forum and also get him to have an avatar beforee the new moderators catch him with no clothes on. I am also encouraging members with childest avatars to update them to Adult & humourous.
 
Okay I’m a little confused by a change that has occurred.

A thread that was under the public forum for advertisers has suddenly been moved to the private TT area so currently while awaiting being grandfathered across I cannot view the thread.

There may be other threads where I have posted affected as well, I’ll discover those at some point.

My point in posting here is not about complaining but more the confusion and to inform others who have experienced similar.

I haven’t gone through the process of creating a second account on LTs site because I doubt I would use, so I don’t wish to create an account that will basically sit dormant. Staff are currently cleaning out dormant accounts here so see no point in more dormant accounts being created that will need to be cleaned out in the future.

So I’ll just sit and wait for now, again just wishing to alert others.

Hope this doesn’t sound harsh, more sweet and innocent, okay that’s way back in the rear mirror 🤣

Maybe those in control with grandfather my account to TT because I’m a nice person 🤣🤣

Babe I am not grandfathering Diamond Members I only did that for Foundation, not even legends can be grandfathered. Its 5 minutes to register, make one review or comment on two Blogs I do not think that is a unfair price for access to the private forums.

Thanks for the clarification, I think I may be one of several who may have misunderstood that it would happen once the changes had been implemented.

The forum moderators have yet to get together to decide the rules od entry, I will be pushing for the same as now but I dont have a vote and will abide by their decision, we are hoping Saturday week we will all have a zoom meeting on the issue.
I am the one spending 15 hours a day on the clean up, doing all the new perth forums as we speak but at least 3 days work.

Knowing what the rules will help.

Cut back to 10 hours, when it’s done, it’s done.
