My job lead me to work a midnight till noon shift (all night) Saturday night. I was in the freo area, when at about 2am I was parked road side, taking a break. I was approached by two ladies, not the prettiest mind you, but not bad to look at, didn’t look strung out looking for a quick fix, but they did ask if I would be interested in “a little fun” even offered both of them together.

ive never heard of girls soliciting road side in Perth so I figured they were looking for quick cash for quick fix,OR they were UC and looking to bust me.
Either way I was the clock anyway so was a no brainer.

begs the question however.

There used to be street walkers years ago in Perth - top of Stirling Street near Perth Oval (HBF Park), Lincoln Street Highgate and Russell Square in Northbridge but these areas were cleaned up and with more and more apartment blocks being erected in the areas, the girls either moved on or were picked up by the police. I have never used one but saw a couple working on Stirling Street late one night - this would have been more than 15 years ago though.

In the past, and it's not even 15 years ago, it was the tiny Perth suburb of Highgate that regularly generated news of street prostitution near the city ... amongst the considerable risks for punters comes the possibility of criminal charges and seeing your name published ...

As has been said there used to be quite a lot of Street Walkers in Perth and other states. It's most definitely not as prevalent as it used to be in Perth, I'm not sure what it's like in Kings Cross these days though.

Kings Cross doesn't have that gritty feel anymore. They cleaned up a lot of it before the Sydney Olympics (2000) including painting yellow lines on the footpath where touts of the dodgy adult nightclubs couldn't cross and drag unsuspecting tourists into them. Streetwalkers are also few are between in Sydney too. Much more of a homeless problem like Perth.
