Advice on moving into the industry

So I've been reading the forums, checking out how a lot of ladies are doing things out there, what a lot of men like etc, so I would just like to ask how to move forward.

I am an older woman (43), have had many lovers and been told I have a sexual essence about me, which I find very surprising....(maybe it would help if I posted a photo). I'm a size 12, but work out at the gym so keep myself relatively fit without being a stick insect. I just feel like a real woman I suppose.

My reasons for moving into this industry are unimportant, partly financial, but more of a work / life balance. I've been on the corporate ladder and it really doesn't appeal to me any more.

I would really appreciate some helpful comments, from both sides, on easing my way into this. I thought I would start with massage, as I have a Cert III in that and physical fitness from my Uni years (it was either be a masseuse or work in a bar). Last time I advertised with massage, the amount of calls I received about happy endings was incredible but I knocked them back because I wasn't looking at this industry at the time. I read a great post on here about somebodys experience with the ultimate massage, and it didn't sound half bad.

I then thought maybe I should apply at a legalised brothel, but I would have hoped to maybe work with some independent women.

Then if all was ok move on to just being independent.

Not trying to put you off, but this industry is not for everyone, however well-intentioned they are.
Always approach with an open mind and be ready to handle people at their best and their worst.

And yes, talk to the girls. They can answer your questions, I'm sure.

I'm just a client, but the only advice I can give is to make sure you put yourself in a working environment where you can reject any client you don't feel comfortable with, so in other words, your not obligated to see them because of the money you'd be making someone else or costing them if you turned them down. Otherwise, good luck and you sound great, and 43 is young by the way : )

Hi I'm am mature 43 and plus size working lady I can tell you age and size plays very little in the industry. Men like all types of ladies. What you are like in the bedroom and personality is what will make or break you not age or looks. Like others have mentioned the above ladies would be a good 1st point of call. Work for an agency to start this will give you more security and a safer insight to the industry. Only do what you are fully comfortable in doing this is mentally a very demanding job and not for everyone. It can be a crawl judgmental world and while you can meet some wonderful kind men you all so deal with some of the worst behavior. Be thicked skin don't take things to heart be strong in what you are willing to do and not do. Yes the money can be wonderful but it takes it's tole on life in other ways. As mentioned above not every lady is cut out to be a WL. If working with an agency work for a reputable one as many poor ones out there who will not respect your wishes. To survive as a sex worker you need to have a strong mind and speak up for yourself.

Call me personally, DARWIN could be a perfect training ground. I had said I wouldn't take on new workers, but your age and your research will make the difference.

Pia you will get a lot of advise from the members , males and females , punters and workers . as Bonnie suggested , " do not over think anything " always stay in control by letting the client think he is in control .
always be safe and never put yourself in harms way .
start slow and grow with your confidence, not for the dollar . because the dollar is a necessary evil

Firstly I don't recommend working independently to begin with. I would say work for an agency for a month or so. That way you can talk to the other girls and learn from their mistakes and triumphs as well as your own. Other WL's are a wealth of information.

You also have the safety of working with others. If anything was to happen in a brothel you can get up and leave, you may not have that freedom as a private lady.

Thanks so much for the replies. I think I will go with an established place first, and looking into Darwin. Its such a shame that the sex industry is so frowned upon that I feel the need to work out of town, however I have children I have to consider and I would hate anything to backlash onto them. Do other W/L feel the same if they have children. Would like to know.

I have both adult children and younger one's my adult children know about my work choice & it has not been easy at times yet they have been more than happy to take the money I have earn from it. Me working now pays for 2 of my younger ones to attend private school. I only work during the day & being a WL allows me to stay at home work limited hours and still earn a good wage. Only my family, partner & one close friend knows my work choice. Outside of being a WL I live a normal conservative life no one would even guess what I do. In maintaining your privacy be mindful in the photos used etc only a couple of my long term gentlemen know my real name first name only.
