I heard today that sadly, a Perth man is now HIV+ after an unprotected sex encounter with a Sydney trans sex worker ( or at least allegedly so).

Guys, (and girls), all of us must be responsible (as must our partners in sex) and not engage in unprotected sex.

Its a lot of fun but its not worth dying for.

A transgender escort has been arrested in Sydney after allegedly infecting a man with HIV, police say.

The 38-year-old, who police said identified as a woman, was arrested at a Surry Hills hotel this week after allegedly infecting a West Australian client with the virus last year.

WA detectives will seek to extradite her to Perth when she appears in Central Local Court on Thursday on a grievous bodily harm charge.

But the woman's arrest in Sydney has now sparked an investigation by the NSW Sex Crimes Squad.

Police said the woman was working as a prostitute in Redfern before her arrest, and detectives will investigate whether any of her Sydney clients are infected.

WA Police said in a statement that the woman was diagnosed in August 2014 and despite that diagnosis and ensuing counselling about treatment options and disclosure obligations, allegedly had unprotected sex with a male client from early 2015.

He was diagnosed in September 2015 and then lodged a complaint with WA Police.

"[WA Police] have liaised with the [WA] Department of Health during this investigation. Anyone with concerns regarding their health are encouraged to seek medical advice," police said.

Police also clarified that the wording and provision of information that the woman was a "transgender escort", along with the information that she had provided these services in WA and NSW, was highly relevant to the industry and client base and was intended to indicate which people should be concerned and seek further health advice.

People like her/him (clearly a him in this case) is what gives the industry such a bad name. Personally I think s/he should be tried for murder, not grievous bodily harm, as HIV weakens your immune system to the point where you can no longer fight off infection so even a common cold can fatal. In certain countries like England they charge the accused with murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, or assault.

I don't understand how someone could give a service when they knowingly have HIV. This is the most disturbing thing I've ever heard. The health and well being of the punter should be the most important thing to a working lady. When you know it can hurt someone you should refuse certain things. Disgraceful and disturbing.

I know it is required in most well-run houses but I guess private operators can and obviously do regard it as optional.

For punters - how many of you have actually asked your lady of choice for a certificate? Not many would be my guess.

From experience only in Victoria are they a requirement & must be sighted before an agency will employ a lady/ allow you to do a shift. NSW never was asked for one & I managed a escort business in the past. Business was run from SA but staff were located in ACT, QLD and NSW. I was never asked to get medicals from the staff either. Having been a private lady & worked for agencies is Adelaide never had an agency even mention them. It's alarming the responsibility is put on the individual worker to have health checks. In 15 odd years only once yes once have I seen a girl offer her slip from Clinic 275. From my understanding medicals/health slips are a state law & when you have private workers touring it becomes hard to police. It's well documented that you are at lower risk of catching an STI if you have sex with a sex worker than if you have sex with a member of the public.

the bottom two pics are def Sienna who was based in Perth. She applied to work by sending her pics - of which I got sent more than too many of herself and various bits. she was post op. The two bottom pics are ones I got text. She was advertising heavily on Locanto and BP back then as she also sent a link to her adverts. She was advertising quite openly for bare back parties and gang bangs and such. I spoke to her twice and contemplated getting her in ( I was in Kal at the time) as I thought she was quite stunning but after reading her adverts I decided she could be a problem!! Understatement hmm!!

Im regularly tested as I work in a parlour during the week and I really don't appreciate you confusing me for another TS who's at least twice my size and a foot taller.
