Hi ya. I'm glad to be back in Darwin again. I've come around at the perfect time just stepping into the dry season. It's been 5 years but already the NT feeling is coming back again. I've always enjoyed my times up here and I would even consider living here. I travel around quite alot and am based in the Sunshine Coast at the moment and recently was considering even moving back to Sydney. I've also spent time in the Gold Coast. Well I'm looking forward to chatting to some people from around Darwin and other parts of Australia. I'm new to this chatsite and I'll be happy to be making some new friends online. All the best Gypsy-fern

Hi Gypsy-Fern what a great name & love the dreads
Welcome :)
Hi Miss Monique. Thank you for your reply. I was wondering how you knew I had dreads. I'm at Darwin at the moment and thought maybe you were one of the girls here, or maybe you saw my profile piccy. My selfie is going to be replaced soon as another girl and I had a proper photo shoot taken today. Had my make-up professionally applied too. So I'm looking forward to seeing the final shots.

Hi Carlos. Thankyou for your response. I've been to Darwin lots of times now over the years. I table-danced for a couple weeks at the honeypot club years ago, and did some stripping for Catwalk, (years ago also), and with the change of industry approx 8 years ago, I started working for Darwin Escorts, currently now known as Langtrees

Dreadlocks was my 'leaving the industry' change for me. 5 years ago I left the industry and thought that to be a great opportunity to get dreads and some artwork done. Of course, 5 years later I find myself 're-trailing' the industry and now I that I am back I have started having second thoughts about my dreads. Its alot for me to think about. I'm trying to look at the bigger picture now, but it is a bit daunting as I feel like I am right at the beginning again. I have only come back in the industry very recently

I have a few friends who have dreads done then returned to the workforce not this industry but mainstream work. A lot depends on if you have wax in them or not. Friends who have had the wax had to cut hair to remove them. I personal see no problem being in this industry and looking unique it's like many ladies having large pieces of body art. Your hair could be your selling point what sets you apart from the other ladies. At the end of the day do what makes you truly happy. Will making money or looking like everyone else make you happy. I am alternative in many ways and the wearing of makeup and dressing up is for work only. When not done up for work I'm making natural soaps, skin care (my 2nd business) and wearing my Birkenstocks. It's not easy being in a glamours industry when deep down it's not who you are

Welcome Gypsy-Fern,
Hope your enjoying the forum, I'm just new to it but loving it more n more as I get to know my way around.
Personally I love your dready's, I think you gotta have that organic free spirt personality to pull them off. Not everyone looks good with them but you sure do.
I'm in the office tonight so I'll see you a bit later. Xxx

Hi Bec. Yes I'm a little bit new on the forum. I don't fully understand it, but sticky beaking around the site I seem to be working things out piece by piece. Thank you for your message and your feedback on my dreadies. I was or am contemplating combing them out. But it may take me back to quite short hair which I'm not sure if I want just yet. Maybe I'll try to comb them out one by one and plait them as I go. Anyway, I'll see you at the office soon (like 5 minutes)
